1. Most ACs won't let you play if you have test mode enabled, you simply get a message when you start the game. They won't ban you, it's not illegal to be in test mode.
2. It should work with this command, you obviously have to restart your computer afterwards

Do you know any AC that will let me play? It will be handy for live testing of the anti-AC performance of the driver.

Reboot disables test signing mode anyway. That makes the "/set testsigning off" command completely useless. I don't know why people suggest using it - not you of course.
I tried with EAC and BE both of which would not allow me to play. As far as I know VAC doesn't care if you are in test mode.
Some games allow you to play offline or without AC enabled, I tested my driver this way.
If I remember correctly I had to manually turn of test mode, even after restarts, but I think this depends on your boot configuration.
You can't disable test mode on the fly since this would defeat the purpose of it, considering the fact that your driver was already loaded.
bcdedit is a bit funny. Now it needs a reboot when test mode is changed. So, it's a perma setting. At the beginning, it allowed me to enter test mode without rebooting
