This newly insane, unprecedented legal stalling does nothing but delay our deal with the receiver to take control of InfoWars.
We now expect new traps in Alex Jones' amoral war to deny paying the Sandy Hook families, but we're freshly surprised by the U.S. legal system's appetite to put up with it.

some late-breaking news on @theonion.com’s quest to take over Infowars: A Texas appeals court just stayed the turnover of the site to the official who inked the agreement with an affiliate of The Onion. This puts the deal in bizarre legal limbo for now. More TK.

I am so sorry for the delay. We're trying as hard as we can while Alex Jones invents new avenues to subvert justice with the appeasement of a series of ultimately scared people who should know better.
I'm going to keep fighting for the Sandy Hook families, who haven't seen a penny from Alex Jones.
The Onion's readership wants us to fight this fight and mock the very capricious and unjust system we are currently experiencing all throughout America right now, one that lets tyrants abuse the courts while good people get hurt.
Thank you to our 76,000+ subscribers, who are along for this ride.
Can’t wait for InfoWars to be taken down. Reminds me of this local story in Washington. A hateful billboard that stood for decades that was recently bought out by a Native American group.

have you considered going directly to icann and accusing them off cybersquatting?
might work if you already have the trademarks
I mean. Why are you surprised? Surely you have figured out by now that every part of the American legal system is rigged in favor of anything conservative, right?
The US justice system is basically dysfunctional when it comes to dealing with litigants with money. Chevron was able to fight to deny Ecuadorians compensation for polluting their environment for over two decades. Justice delayed is justice denied and that delay/denial can be bought in the US
To put it as politely as I possibly can, fuck those fucking fuckers
You are being way too polite. I say fuck those motherfucking fuckers sideways.
Tim Onion to Alex Jones (using monopoly money):
So like, are the courts going to do anything about all the assets he’s hiding from those families or is he just gonna keep on keeping on…?
At least the idiot loses access to the site at midnight tomorrow. He's sitting in his car crying about that aspect.
✊ Thanks for fighting back & for Justice

Judges have to start facing consequences for their illegal behavior. Disciplinary or even criminal. They are running amok and acting as petty dictators.
Alex’s trail really showed how much the everything relies on people going along with the system. The amount he was aloud to just not cooperate with the court. And how much effort was used to make him have a single conscience. At least he seems to be miserable.
The Knowledge Fight guys tried to warn you. You guys should also probably only declare victory AFTER the deal is finalized.
The current legal system is corrupt and bows down to Trump and anyone that supports him. You really shouldn't be surprised that they'll fuck you in he ass and then make themselves out to be the victim
Jones is a Texas resident. He got his start on rightwing AM radio in Austin
It's funny that Alex Jones is spinning this all as a grand conspiracy against him by the FBI or whatever because it really is difficult to imagine the US courts going this far to protect a bankruptcy defendant in any other case #us-politics #onion
It's Texas. They're as corrupt as they come. (except maybe for Florida.)
Ok. I need to stop getting hope up. I'm tired of him dodging after I hear good news. It's discouraging.
Gonna make it that much better when you guys finally win.
If he has money to pay lawyers then he has money to pay the families.
'No Precedent For This,' Says Plaintiff In The Only Court Case Where This Regularly Happens
AJ, like Trump, has an almost-supernatural ability to shed consequences. Keep fighting the good fight and hopefully that can change.
I feel like the only thing to do at this point is make officially licensed infowars butt plugs and see what happens.
It's the TEXAS court of appeals.
They're so corrupt even Trump is envious.
Well those are certainly words. What does that Legalese even mean? What are they trying to pull here?
I wish there was some way to be aggressive instead, to sue Jones for some unrelated other thing that splits his law team’s focus or something. No idea.
This is why with all respect, is a part of me that wishes the announcement wasn't made until everything was dotted and scratched. i was afraid the media attention would wake up rich people willing to help turn it over
The U.S. legal system seems to be willing to put up with quite a bit of bullshit these days.
perhaps this is the true info war
I don't know what reasons they would have to continue to block/delay these deals other than that they want the site to remain in right-wing hands.
After Trump didn't get a cavity search when he turned himself in and not being thrown in jail for his defying judges orders to shut the fuck up! I am surprised when the justice system works!
Didn't he have a last minute miracle ruling in his custody case, too? Crazy
Their website still has a pop-up saying it's going down in a day
Forget it, Tim! It's time to give up, and move on.
From now on, Circuit City is your home of The Onion.
That's the trouble with slime, just when you think you've got it, it oozes through your grasp.
He's such a worm. Proof that our legal system is busted hard. Fuck him to the moon.
. . . . . .So y‘all DIDN’T actually successfully purchase Infowars when y’all claimed that you did, and THAT’S why “infowars.com” still links to the actual Alex Jones website???
. . . . . . . .WHAT????
Again, can you find use for an old baby lawyer?

This is such a frustrating turn of events for the Sandy Hook families. 💔 I hope justice isn't too far off.
It really highlights the flaws in the system when it can be manipulated like this.
damn, I know I'm not breaking new ground but he is so annoying
Oof. The worst of us have learned from Donald, use the courts to delay, delay, delay. 👹
The US Legal System is always willing to put up with it as long as it punishes the undeserving!
Alex Jones is not a rich man, you guys are out of your mind if you think he's paying anything. Or you already know and are just being dishonest.
The fact that none of his scalp veins or anything else in its head, haven’t exploded as a modern medical miracle. He can fight everything but the clock TikTok TikTok. His time will run out.
Never doubt the ability of a Texas court to fck things up
"texas court rules 'nuh-uh' in landmark case" feels like something you made up frankly and yet here we are
Y’all got this. Can’t wait to see the shenanigans you have planned for the site.
He’s wealthy and white so he must have ALL the consideration
Just throwing this out there but maybe change your name to Paramount and say you're taking over Warner brothers? Every republican in DC and throughout the nation, would demand that it goes through.
The legal system's tolerance for delay tactics while victims wait for justice is genuinely fascinating from a psychological standpoint - there's something deeply broken about incentivizing prolonged trauma through procedural manipulation.
At a certain point it just makes more sense to hockey punch Jones in a K-Mart parking lot.
They aren't putting up with it. They are literally fighting on his side.
Laws aren't real, folks. Nothing matters. Just do whatever you want.
i knew you were taking that victory lap too early. there’s simply no limit to the courts’ tolerance of his bullshit
Hey, I paid for a year's subscription because I was told this was, in fact, set in stone. Can I get a refund for my 100 dollars?
Unfortunate but sadly not unexpected. What happens now?
Can't stop won't stop
me bedazzling this tote bag
💪❤️
The US legal system is a joke. A quagmire of dumbfuckery.
No wonder it looks like he's been crashing out hard lately. He's in so much shit he may as well not even buy a shovel at this point.
The courts are meant to be an instrument to solve disputes without violence.
The courts are failing.
Where does that leave us?
Idk much about law but could you pressure the court to force Alex Jones to take a drug test. I don’t know if it will help but his rant about Tim & Eric last week got me thinking he’s going on a crazy bender and I wanna know what pills he’s popping
I guess this deal is bound for maga-track law…
O well it’s fun while it lasts.
Time to stop being surprised by the depravity if this motherfucker—there is no limit.
This is typical criminal behavior just like trump does. Delay after delay with bullshit legal mumbo jumbo . Drag it out. God i hate these people.
Reading the tweets above below your, that appears to be the new look for our justice system in the last week or so
He's rich and famous. There will never be real consequences, and he'll die rich and famous and comfortable. Because that is the society we have all agreed is acceptable.
I mean, he does have to wake up every morning as himself & drink just to get through the day. He’ll die wanting more, not appreciating what he has, famous for being a repulsive piece of shit with a brain made of swiss cheese. And that sentient abortion has never looked comfortable a day in his life.
"Why is American government the best government in the world?"
"Because of our endless appeals system."
