Wasnt gonna leave a review, but the devs decided to make a new announcement titled "Post Release". In this announcement they talk about the AI slop problem with the game except they dont actually believe it is a problem.

You can read the announcement for yourself if you want the exact details but in short it seems like they see no issue with these low effort games being all over the platform. This game/game platform had protentional but if its just gonna be plagued with soulless games it wont last long just go play roblox if you enjoy that stuff its even free.

The problem is the sorting if sorting was okay, you wouldn't see the bad games at the top of the lists

I mean, blame the people making Ai slop and not the game itself?

Like roblox, its gonna be hard to wrangle up every single ai slop game. The juice aint worth the squeeze and it'll get better with time.

s&box is new as well. Just wait for the good games to rise to the top

Is this not the exact same position of Steam?

"The effort is that good games float to the top, bad games sink to the bottom"
I also don't understand how people expect Facepunch to filter out AI code. I doubt its as easy as just detecting it and deleting it.
I feel like most of the games that use basic AI code are ♥♥♥♥ anyway, no? Also, if I was a solo dev I wouldn't want to spend my money for a somewhat unimportant thumbnail when I could just generate what I had in mind instead.

Remember, "AI is the teacher now"

a bit misleading to say that they are fine with AI. sure its really bad that low effort trash is pumped out so fast, but the reviews are almost always bad from what ive seen, in return, lowering them and giving them lower visibility. i dont think a creation should be outright deleted solely because it used ai, because there probably is some effort put in besides the lazy artwork.

The cream of the crop will rise to the top. All games will now use different degree's of slop, and when given time and resources it will be removed more and more for better crafted replacements. For Solo and indie dev's this is a must, even for basic placeholders. But I believe this POV comes from those whom only PLAY the games but never put ANY time in to MAKING one themselves.
