What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“With City Bus Manager, we had a very positive Early Access experience. Working closely with our community allowed us to shape the game together with players, prioritize the right features, and continuously improve based on real feedback. The response was incredibly motivating and helped us build a better and more successful game.

Because of this, we would like to follow the same approach with Global Rescue. Early Access gives us the opportunity to involve you directly in the development process again - from gameplay improvements to deciding which features and content updates matter most.

We believe Global Rescue will benefit greatly from this collaborative development, and we’re excited to build it together with you.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The duration of Early Access largely depends on how the game evolves together with the community and when we feel it has reached a complete and polished state.

Based on our current plans, we expect Global Rescue to remain in Early Access for approximately 1 to 2 years. However, this timeframe may change depending on development progress, player feedback, and the overall reception of the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Global Rescue is planned to expand significantly in terms of features, content, and overall depth. Even in Early Access, the game already offers a solid core gameplay loop that we plan to build upon with additional systems, mechanics, and content.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Global Rescue is already fully playable and offers a complete core gameplay experience.

It currently includes over 200 missions and additional side objectives, as well as 23 different vehicles. In addition, the game already supports modding through the Steam Workshop, allowing players to create and share vehicles, skins, and missions.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to slightly increase the price during or after Early Access as the game grows in scope and receives additional content and features. Our goal is to reflect the overall value of the game, so a potential price increase towards full release is possible.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community closely throughout the entire development process. Players can share ideas, discuss features, and give feedback through Steam Discussions and our Discord.

In addition, we have integrated a dedicated in-game feedback system that allows players to report issues and submit suggestions directly from within the game. These suggestions can be seen and supported by other players, helping us identify which ideas are most requested by the community.

Based on this, we plan to regularly evaluate the most popular suggestions and use them as a foundation for upcoming content updates, ensuring that development is driven by what players want to see most.”

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

All of our art assets are handmade by our artists. We only use AI for things that would not be technically possible otherwise.

We use a text-to-speech solution for the voices because we want to include custom names for vehicles, streets and employees (which can also be changed) in the messages. We also want to support modding missions with voices. None of this is possible with pre-recorded footage.

This is a fun emergency operator and base management game.

The only downsides currently are having to micromanage your units at every emergency scene which can get quite tedious at times, and not being able to pause to plan out busy times. If the devs would fix these it would be even better.

As an Firefighter EMT I really enjoy this game. It has a few glitches but so does every game in early access. My only complaint is on the rescue (EMS) side where you have an emergency doctor go to most calls along with the ambulance. Every EMS system other than Pittsburgh (which has PAs in fly cars) and I believe Austin Travers EMS I have never heard of any doctors or clinicans higher than a paramedic going to a call. Outside of that it is a wonderful game and despite being in early access it feels like a spiritual sucessor to 911 operator.

Game is pretty decent and to me very addictive. Love how you get to control what and how many units go on call. Wish that they would make it so a police unit can break down a door or break a window instead of having to always have fire there. As well as ladder truck being able to "firefight". But other than that I really enjoy this game.

Couldn't wait for this to come out. Has a lot of potential once it gets a few patches but so far gameplay is solid. Runs great, looks could be improved but they are working on the game as a whole. Feature voting directly in-game is nice.

As a Sheriff's deputy, I can honestly say playing in my actual jurisdiction with calls I actually receive at places that are really there, this game does it for me. The micro can get to be a little much but I can't wait to see where this game goes!

This is what I imagined Mission Chief would be when it first came out. This game is awesome, and I truly enjoy it. While the current features and content are rather basic (Early Access), the game has a draw which is hard to find. I look forward to seeing the upcoming feature releases.

** 2 stars out of five, the pace of the game is some times overwhelming But there not much core features to it. you point and click there's no reason for you to want to go to the jobs once you've been to a couple it all the same. jobs can be on the other side of city and require a silly amount of input.

it's has a good idea just a really boring way of executing it.

It’s a great game. Keeps you on your feet at all times, entertained and actually fun. The stress and urgency you get is awesome and feels very realistic, like the real world.

Obviously the game is still in development and getting bug fixes, so I completely understand that. There are a couple of bugs though. When a call pops up, there’s a box for it, and once a unit arrives on scene, the borders are meant to turn orange to indicate it’s on scene and ready to be assigned a task. Sometimes that glitches and you don’t get any visual cues or sounds, and the border doesn’t change. If you’re getting smashed with other jobs at the same time, it’s easy to lose track of that one and then you get punished for it. I’d say that’s my main problem and the biggest issue.

There are more bugs as well, like the progress bar when you’re going through a call and doing everything right, it just stops. Then the timer runs out, you get a mission fail, and once again get punished. It’s like all your emergency services are working through assignments, nothing new comes up, and the green progress bar just freezes until the timer runs out.

Overall, it’s an amazing game, especially for a brand new release. I can’t wait to see what the future brings and all the new bug patches and improvements!!

I played the demo and loved it. The EA release showed improvments already. The game still needs alot of work and features but the devs have a solid plan and I like the communication, esp how you can help prioritize what new features are on the to-do list next.

Most things I'm not fully onboard are on the rework list and I have high hopes this will be an amazing dispatch /management game.

If you like 911/112 operrator and RescueHQ or games like that, keep an eye on it for sure!

I must say, this game is beautifully designed and I definitely recommend it!

I have been playing games like this for a long, long time. The time of simulation and management that this game offers is long overdue. It offers a perfect balance between personnel and fleet management, and responding to calls. There is a huge amount of work to be done however to create a sustainable community with many directions of growth in the game in order to keep the player vested, however the framework is definitely there. I would like to say to the programmers of this game to take their time developing this game the way they see fit, while also remaining active in the community and listening to their customer and player feedback.

Can't wait to see the future of this games development!

Has some really good potential but INCREDIBLY GRINDY. There is no option for sandbox, research points are required for almost every advancement and being earned through tasks you'll be clicking and watching a timer FOREVER. this game needs DESPERATE REBALANCING and the devs which are pretty good need to definitely listen to feedback and ease up a bit on the "you play our game entirely OUR way!" It has some real good potential though *I'd go neutral if i could but since i can't* this is a thumbs-down right now
