Picture-in-picture is expanding to more viewers!

Hi everyone,
We’re excited to share that picture-in-picture (PiP) is now rolling out to all users globally in the coming months.
PiP allows you to shrink your video into a small player that continues playing even when you leave the YouTube app.
Here’s what you need to know about availability:
- Non-Premium Viewers: For users in the US, there will be no change to your PiP experience. For users outside of the US, you now have access to PiP for longform, non-music content on Android and iOS.
- Premium Lite Members: You will continue to be able to use PiP for longform, non-music content on Android and iOS.
- Premium Members: Premium members will continue to enjoy PiP for both music (exclusive to Premium only) and non-music content, creating a fully uninterrupted experience.
How to use it: While a video is playing, simply swipe up (or tap the home button) to exit the app. The video will automatically continue playing in a small player you can move anywhere on your screen!
Note: If for any reason it doesn’t work, you may need to update your YouTube app settings or your device’s settings. To learn how to turn on PiP or review technical requirements (like needing iOS 15.0+), check out our updated Help Center article.

My Google Account was compromised and locked after I reported unauthorized access.
I am the verified owner of the YouTube channel and brand “Mixioni / Studio Mixioni”.
I have verified identity, verified address (PIN), verified bank account, and I have been paid by Google Ireland Limited.
I cannot pass the automated recovery steps.
I request a manual account recovery escalation to the Google Account Specialists.
