For far too long the media has led so many us to leave a truly inaccurate description of the events that occurred so many years ago. The propaganda pushed by many would have us believe this is a great and spectacular event to celebrate. That it was a very great sequence of events that showed the true spirit and meaning of Christmas.

However if we reexamine these events of this tale we will soon realize the story of the Grinch is actually one of true tragedy of such great proportions. It involves the sad idea of someone starting off strong but losing their way and serves as a warning to so many in similar situations.

To start us off we must first look at the context in which this story takes place. The land of Whoville is similar to that of Eastern Europe (most likely Russia or Ukraine). This area would then be very entrenched with Eastern Christianity from the tradition of Constantinople that was sent to the Whos for their conversions after their interactions with Sts Cyril and Methodius before they went on to such great missionary feats such as the Cat in the Hat, Sam-I-Am, and the Lorax (an obvious future ascetic and Fool for Christ).

Close to this town lived a person seeking to live out as an aesthetic and Fool for Christ on Mt. Crumpit. However, as the years went on and due to the influences of such insidious ideologues who run such entities as: MTV, VH1, Disney, Hallmark, ABC, and other outlets that sought to secularize such a sacred holiday.

Doing this sadly watered down the faith of the Whos. Once such devout and observant people had lost their depth of belief. Many embraced a secular holiday by making their lives about money and material items. Soon their true god was consumerism and you saw not a single reference of Christ in Whoville.

This troubled the Grinch greatly as he saw people who he knew well lose their way and give in to false teachings of materialism and forget who they were. Soon the loud noises of this began to disturb his focus on his own internal life and prayer.

Upon discerning what to do about this issue he decided to consult with his spiritual advisor, Sam-I-Am , the Metropolitan of the region. They both agreed that it greatly saddened them to see such a beautiful people lose their once strong faith.

The two came with the only logical decision. The Grinch would do what would seemingly be foolish but in the long run glorify the Truth of the Holiday, the Christ. The Grinch would go and take the material items that had oppressed the Whos for so long and destroy said oppressive items. This would liberate the souls of the Whos and allow them to embrace the Incarnation of Christ.

While some Western Propaganda outlets such as the Disney Channel would say that he “stole food and other items as well”. This is a common misconception many of us have. This was a fabrication of out of context information.

The fact was that their food given to them by materialistic oligarchs was all bad anyways and he was saving them from being sick and would feed them organic natural food from the Wholistic Who Foods Farms that is taken care off by the family from the Don’t Hop on Pop epic.

The other key argument one would often make would be the idea that the Whos would sing their Christmas song anyways. This is another fact taken out of context. This was a new modern song invented by the propaganda office of Whoville to reconstruct the very meaning of Christmas for the average Who.

This song was added on after the 1900’s Whoville Whotastic Social Reforms that pushed for Christmas being about items as talked about. This song was also more about the excitement for claims (surprisingly not mentioned by most media outlets) of the new Amazon delivery that the Whoville City Council had just made a deal with to deliver presents.

So in proper context the Whos had no idea the Grinch even took presents from them. They were just expecting them to come via Amazon. The true Whoville Christmas Hymn was actually done in a Byzantine Procession across Suessland to call all the celebrate the Incarnation of God and to praise Him being born in Bethlehem and remembering all the great Who Saints of past Christmas Seasons to try to model their lives after.

After this the Grinch would then preach the Gospel to the Whos and give them all great gifts such as icons, relics, prayer books, and prayer ropes. Doing this would reignite their faith and allow them to find true joy.

He began going house by house liberating families from the scourge of materialism. However soon the devil sent him a temptation in the form of Lucy Lue, or as she is also known as…. Logismoi Lue.

For Logismoi Lue was pushing so much from the spirit and soul of Whoville by pushing for an emphasis on material items such as toys but also so much nonsense “noise, noise, noise!” For this noise kept the Whos from praying in Christian Community and getting deeper in their journey of Theosis.

For if the Grinch also had a plan to replace all materialistic and earthly items with items for the Whos to glorify Christ. Sadly, he was tempted and convinced to not only stop his plan by Logismoi Lue and even partook in the materialism himself! He had grown tired of the monastic pursuit and felt it bared little fruit. After this final push he began to think why not make this about presents and items? Items are nice ... .this is nice… and had fallen from his path.

This great loss to the spirit of the Whos cannot be understated when we look outside the Western Propaganda pushed upon our lives.

In this tragedy we could easily think for in such a tragedy there is no hope for us or the Whos. This too is false though! For with Christ there is always hope!

For off far in the East a fellow monk hears the call of this tragedy. I of course speak of Father Sneacheraphim the Hermit of the Desert of Suessland. For soon after messengers of Thing 1 and 2 saw the fall of the Grinch and hastily sent for help.

The second Sneacheraphim heard of this he quickly set forth for Whoville. He knew he could only do this task with the help of all the Saints and Trinity. He silently prayed for the Holy Spirit to guide him in thought, word, and action.

He arrived and saw all the Whos and the Grinch himself taking part and this secular hedonism of worshiping items, and not the True Tridentine God!

While such partying and nonsense went on he silently went to the center of the celebration and grabbed and giant idol to the false idol of Horton who had now been worshiped for help in shopping.

As he grasped he slammed it for all to hear and shouted “ANATHEMA!!!!!!!” The town now had their attention on him and nothing else. He then raised high his hand in the sign of the Trinity to preach like one would preach as if on the beach with a Sneach!

He loudly roared for his voice and the Truth to soar and said:

“My brothers and sisters, what in Suessland has happened to you!? For you mention and show nothing of the True God,....CHRIST OUR SAIVOR!!!!! For it was Christ that gave us the blessings to count red fish, blue fish, one fish, and two fish to feed us for our goodness. For it was Christ calls us to love one another as it is Christ….NOT HORTON as we were told that saves Whoville from the wrath of SIN! For it is Christ who you should celebrate…NOT ITEMS! You fools,... you have lost what truth is and for now live on plastic and that which does not fulfill. I say now burn down these false items and throw them out into the abyss! Let us now make Christmas about Christ and reject all these false promises and rusted treasures! In the Name of Christ please follow me!”

The Whos then dropped all their items into a giant fire and rejected the materialistic lies they had so long been trapped by. They then had a liturgy to celebrate the Incarnation of God and re-found their faith. Many images of Christ were now displayed and regular prayer and chanting times of great hymns were done in Whoville. The Grinch also begged for forgiveness from Sneacheraphim and readied himself to go off into banishment in repentance.

However,...Sneacheraphim grabbed him and hugged him tight. He told him that as Christ forgives so does he. He told him to join him in leading a great procession through Whoville to embrace the reversion of the town.

We see this is the TRUE story of the Grinch. How his fall was not the end of what he would be as often with others he too fell for the trap of material goods. However his brother answered the call to action to step in to help him with the help of Christ. Son contrary to the propaganda spewed of this story this is how the Grinch was saved on Christmas after falling so far from the path.
