My worldview, first posted as a comment on an answer written about the legacy of Gorbachev. As to what the point of the USSR was, it’s rather simple: Human life - the life of any living thing really - i…

Are humans inherently evil/good?
Humans are intrinsically lazy and tribal. That combination makes for a lot of folks who commit, participate in, or passively endorse evil whilst sincerely believing themselves to be good.

Is homeopathy a safe and effective alternative to growth hormone therapy for height increase in teenagers?
No. Homeopathy is placebo. It can be good for pain relief, if you think it's going to work, you'll feel less pain. It certainly can't replace growth hormones. On the plus side, it's just water, so it's safe.

If there's actually no such thing as 'free healthcare' (someone's got to pay for it), doesn't that imply that those who pay but get the least of it get cheated?
It’s the story of a guy, who lived not far from a public park, let’s call him Bob. Bob really loved that park, he went there every day, it helped him relax as he listened to the birds. One day though, as he was taking a nap in the shade, he noticed something: Someone who left the park, and then came ba…
