Crunchyroll has been caught making questionable deviations from the original Japanese script for yet another anime, as this time they refused to have a trap character acknowledge that they are male in the show Marriage Toxin.
A Twitter user brought the subject up and provided a screenshot comparing the subtitled version of the show with Crunchyroll’s dub:
They went on to provide even more screenshots providing comparisons between the dub and subtitled version of the anime, and it’s not too surprising that there are more inconsistencies:
Crunchyroll has become infamous when it comes to being unfaithful to the original Japanese script, as they often make changes for the sake of pushing an agenda, such as when they inserted the words “toxic masculinity” in one show, as well as the words “political correctness” in another.

Thanks god I don’t watch dubbed anime, neither the ones with english subs.
firing translators is the right move, even if the dub gets awkward because of transliteration, at least it will avoid unnecessary changes.

Yeah well, duh… but I have no interest in this.
I tolerate exactly one work with a drag queen/queer/okama and that’s Satoshi Kons Tokyo Godfathers, and that’s mostly cause I like Kons style.
I realize it’s not the same as the west, but I still don’t see the point in effeminate queermos.
Still in the closet then? Aw
There’s a not insignificant chance that they turn out to actually be a woman (Supposedly they have an as of yet unrevealed “secret.”) If so a huge number of reddit fags would be incredibly butthurt.
Of course there’s also a chance that they are indeed a guy and they wind up together at the end, so buyer beware and all that.
Go write blog-posts somewhere else. Nobody gives a single f♥♥k about what some worthless, random nobody likes or dislikes.
Obviously you do
