Sean, better known online as Think Before You Sleep or TBYS, is an American right-wing political and social commentary YouTuber who is known for his often political commentary videos critizing social politics and political activism.
History
His channel was created on November 15, 2018. He uploaded his first YouTube video on February 6, 2019 where he gave his opinion on the accusations against voice actor Vic Mignogna.[1] He gained popularity among users with conservative and right-wing views.
Content
Sean's content primarily criticizes topics such as feminism, gender politics, racism, sexuality, health politics, and political correctness. While his arguments and takes are predominantly right-leaning and conservative, he has shown to favor and argue for left-leaning or centrist political views at times. His videos are usually formatted so that the arguments of the topic he's discussing are presented first and then his opinions of each of these arguments follow.

Criticism
Sean has been accused by other YouTubers mainly Ludwig, Vaush, HasanAbi & Noah Samsen of promoting sexist and far-right content, as well as homophobia, transphobia and antisemitism.[2][3][4] Streamer iiTzTimmy stood against Sean, after Sean used Timmy's clips in a video titled "How Feminist Ideas Make Everyone Weak." Timmy said the video's message didn't reflect his views and that he believes the gaming community needs to improve its way of treating women.[5] Youtuber Boy Boy also made a video criticizing Sean on June 28, 2024.[6]
Feud with Illymation and Noah Samsen
In February of 2024, Sean posted a video titled "A Fat Acceptance Cartoon"[7] a critical commentary against YouTuber Illymation's video titled "Perks of being The Fat Kid". In illy's video, she talked about how kids who are overwight start hating themselves due to people looking down on them, and that most people are overwight and underwight due to having eating disorders. Sean heavily criticized her video claiming she didn't understand modern dieting-culture while criticizing her fashion choices and even repeatedly critizing her appearance. Most viewers found his criticism harsh and extreme.[8] illymation stated in a Tumblr post that she had been receiving harassment on YouTube, Twitter, and Instagram due to Sean's video and that she reported Sean's video for cyberbullying, asking others to mass flag the video if they came across it. She stated that she didn't want to watch the video, but knows the summary of the video from her friend Dillon.[9] This would spawn a wave of other critical videos and comments from commentary drama and reaction channels directed mostly at Illymation, because she told her fans to report Sean's video.[10] In response, Sean released the video "Woke YouTuber Is Trying To Deplatform Me", accusing Illymation of trying to deplatform him.[11][12]
A month later, illy was doxxed when her home address was leaked online by others off site, resulting in her being forced to break the terms of her lease after death threats were allegedly mailed to her apartment. In Sean's video "The illymation Drama Continues" released on April 1, 2024, he accused illy's friend Dillon of trying to instigate and prolonge the drama. On April 28, 2024, Youtuber Noah Samsen made a response video to the drama in a video titled "Think Before You Dox", alleging Sean's fans of doxxing and harrassing illy. He also claimed that Sean had been editing out information to elevate his arguments, and then on May 5, 2024, Noah made another unlisted response video titled "Think Before You Lie", further criticizing Sean's videos claiming he never accused Sean directly of doxxing and was moreso criticizing his fanbase.[13] Sean would make a final video titled "Woke YouTuber Got Me A Channel Strike", where he criticized Noah for his arguments and presentation of them but also criticized illy. Sean claimed that Noah was distrustful and didn't do any research, calling him a hypocrite and making claims that illy copyright striked his first video, as well as tried to file a privacy report for the same video.[14]
