Isn't looking anywhere in particular and Lucifer is looking at Husk who's celebrating Al's win. Which makes sense because that's how Husk lost his soul to Al. I get no ship vibes at all for any character. RAs are really, REALLY reaching.

There's no way Alastor wasn't figured out as the Bayou Butcher. That hunter probably told the cops when he saw the body Al was carrying, and he could have easily spun the story as him being the hero who shot the killer. The cops would have ID'd Alastor quickly as the local celebrity, and he'd be a true crime story in history. But let's say that the hunter kept quiet and shoved the bodies in the swamp and ran. Somebody would eventually find the murder cabin filled with half-eaten corpses and realized the cabin belonged to the missing radio star, who most likely fled town and would now be the center of the biggest man hunt in The South.

All these comics depict Alastor as some kind of homicidal mastermind like Dexter but in reality the dude was a very sloppy killer who was really lucky until he wasn't. If anything, the TV guy was the better serial killer, because he had a really high body count spread over decades and was never caught.

Alastor could kind of get away with being sloppy, forensic techniques were pretty rudimentary in the 1930s. While dying the day after was probably bad luck, once he made his deal it probably didn’t matter as much anyway since he knew he would be able to carry on when he died. Being caught would have meant death, anyway. If he was implicated, I bet there would be a whole lot of discourse today over whether he was only tied to it because of his race, and because it was convenient.
