Fred Harris is with Sarah Harris.
We just returned home after a trip to Wisconsin so Sarah could present a Quilt of Valor to a very special WW II veteran. On April 26th Reynolds Tomter celebrated his 106th birthday. Reynolds served with the Merchant Marines. Last year Reynolds was awarded a Congressional Gold Medal for his service and being the oldest surviving Merchant Marine. After returning from lunch we followed Reynolds to his home, yes he still drives and lives on his own. This man is a national treasure. As we left we told him we'd be back for his 107th birthday party next year.

Wow! That's awesome! An awesome gift to him Sarah. Bet he was thrilled to receive it. He certainly doesn't look 106 years old either!!! So nice to see the quilt you made go to someone who will treasure it and enjoy it.
