i feel like i’m going crazy seeing all these people roasting this post when a perk of memberships is literally livestreams “she doesn’t owe you anything” is true in most cases, but here content is one of the promised deliverables, so it’s fair to be frustrated and express that
I told myself that if she didnt stream or even make a community post by the next time this renews I would have to cancel it. But this really is such a hard decision for me, I want to keep supporting her, but imo its a little screwed up to just go AWOL without any notice

Great news - Saba does have members only livestreams, in fact you can see them in your screenshot. What membership does not grant you is an entitlement to livestreams. It gives you access to them when they happen, which is entirely at the streamers discretion.

saying u aren't satisfied with the output you're receiving from a subscription =/= entitlement. if you subscribe to a service, and they do not provide one of their main advertised outputs, then as a customer you have a right to voice your views. this applies to anything u pay for

First, it doesn't say the streams have to be monthly. But the issue is how rude the post is. "imo its a little screwed up to just go AWOL without any notice" We know she has health issues. Any actual fan would understand any breaks she has.

no one is faulting her for health issues. nor does her reason for being gone matter, it's not our business but when you work a job and you have issues that prevent you from working, it's expected to send notice to affected parties. she is running a business with paying customers

I think its more of a 'this isn't an airport, you dont have to announce your departure' type of situation. Or people who may be going through their own health struggles are projecting their feelings as if they were in saba's shoes.

i’d largely agree if it’s a product you use/enjoy for free, but imo since this is a paid subscription, i see it like leaving a review for a business. If you are paying for a certain service and do not receive what has been promised, it is fair to share your thoughts publicly

When you are paying creators your hard earned cash, the bare minimum you should rightfully expect is at least some kind of engagement.

Canceling membership is fine, but the way it got announced with something that can be read as a demand for an explanation isnt

This is what i have been saying free viewers don't get to complain but memberships it is right there in the details that you are paying for streams, the right thing to do would be communicate with members or decrease the price while on hiatus since they are not getting full perks

I think there is a non-insignificant number of people out there today, who have been brainwashed to believe "an artist never owes you anything even if you give them money" because they're all buddies and complain to each other about entitlement
