I was the ideal son every parent wanted. For a 16 year old, I was the top of my class and i won so many debate and sports competitions. I also had the looks. So much so, many thought I had a bright future.
My family life though.. was dysfunctional. My mom was an alcoholic and my dad was abusive. He used to rape me and mum all the time…
I was used to it.. The beatings, the rape. So to keep my mind off things, I didn't go home early that day and I regret it.. so bad.
I was near a gas station since my bike ran out of petrol. I was waiting when suddenly I saw a really sketchy guy whom I now know is Houston (name change).
He was a thin and tall guy with a black hoodie. I didn't really see his features at that time so I didn't care.
Just then, Houston came up to me and offered a ride since the guy didn't show up.
I was skeptical but the guy assured me he was mom's brother. He even showed me pictures as proof so I went along.
He said we could pick up my bike tomorrow and I agreed.
As I was getting in, Housten placed a cloth on my mouth and I tried to push him off but in less than 5 mins, I was unconscious.
I don't recall much after that, but I do remember waking up in a dark room. I was on a dirty mattress and my hands were tied with rope.
Another guy, James saw I awoke and I cursed at him, cause he was carrying me to another spot. He got frustrated and raped me.
This kept on going on, I was raped around 20 times a day. Sometimes as punishment, they would burn my hands and legs, they even amputa#ed my p#nis.
I was depressed, every single day, they would kick me around, beat me with a baseball bat and whip me.
On normal days, I would often be shifted off to Mr. Buckham for his daily fuck. He would sometimes let his friends gang rape me.
On bad days, I would be locked in the basement for 24 hours, malnourished. It wasn't better when they would continuously inflict cigarette scars.
One specific day they cleaned me was my 19th birthday. They cleaned me and allowed me to rest. I looked at my self in the mirror and was shocked, I was very skinny to the bone, pale and I was malnourished.
They fed me that day and ofcourse raped me. They were kind enough to me. They said I was the lucky one. Other people wouldve just killed their victims after raping them.
After that, they sent me away for about 3 months to mr.buckham and his wife. I was like a babysitter for their kids.
The wife was nice… though remained distant. He often demanded an early morning fuck.
After I came back, I found out one of the guys was arrested for fraud. So they were all freaking out and decided I should be taken by Houston.
He wasn't so happy when he took me.
I arrived their in 2015.
Half of the time, he would keep me inside a closet while inviting his girlfriend over for sex.
I was there for cleaning and cooking. After his girlfriend broke up with him, he kept me as his daily sex slave.
One time, he was masturbating me when he told me we were going out.
He told me to behave and stay quiet. I agreed.
So while we were inside the mall, I excused myself to the toilet and grabbing that opportunity, I told a staff member that I was kidnapped and gave him the licence plat no.
They called the police and
I finally escaped in 2017 at the age of 23.
He and his goons got what they deserved.
I remember having mixed feelings, since I wondered, where are my parents?
I lived with my aunt and she helped me get through my trauma. I recently started going to therapy in 2018.
I don't go to my parents house anymore. My mother apparently passed away from alcohol poisoning while my dad is still there.
I still get plagued by nightmares and those scars still haunt me till this day.
I'm now a 29 year old man with a job as a sales representative,.
I am still paranoid due to this and if any of you say, men can't be raped, well then fuck you! Because do you even know what they did to me, they beat me till I coughed up blood and I had to get stitches for my un healed injuries. And also, one of the guys thought it was funny to put salt cubes into my open injuries on my back and inside my ass, and what happened? I passed out and went into a coma for days.
Do you even know what it's like to be frightened for you life? For one day, they will be sweet and in the other, they would be aggressive.
My father never even believed me and said that men can't be raped and that j should've been with that guy sinc3 I'm a disappointment.
I hate it, but I have to accept it..
I just hope no one ever go through this experience..

This situation describes the African people’s enslavement in the United States during the 1800s. Africans were forcibly taken from Africa, their native land, to work in a foreign land belonging to another person. Every day it’s the same pattern; you don’t get to rest. You are hurt and dying?
Disposable.
It’s not only the Africans that have suffered in the hands of an American. But the Chinese Americans have literally built America. With their hard labor they built railroads, buildings, and many bridges you see now. They were massacred while working with no remorse from their employers.
Slavery is still happening now.
Girls as young as 5 are being sold into slavery for sexual pleasures of predators desiring young flesh. They are working their underdeveloped bodies tirelessly to satisfy the men that have held their lives captive. They are shamed as they live out their lives; called harsh names, despite having no choice.
This is slavery.
It depends upon the slave, the master, the conditions of the slavery and the general environment in which the slave lives, works, plays, raises a family and dies. Slaves in the USA had it better than in other nations, for a variety of reasons. We are all horrified by the chattel slavery. But nobody is horrified how the Union recruited the immigrants to fight in the civil war. Nobody is horrified about what happened to the desperate to work because of survival laborers that came to the US from Europe because of the socio-economic condition of the last industrial revolution nor the Chinese who knew that it was leave China or die. What happened to those two groups, as a whole, was worse than what slaves had to endure for unlike a slave, these people were expendable (didn’t have to be purchased, didn’t have to be taken care of all year round, and most of all, were expendable as for everyone injured, killed, or sacked, others stood in line to take the place).
How come nobody ever asks this question: In the North, who did the work formerly done by slaves? There is always work that nobody does unless survival is at stake or have a gun pointed against the head.
Why is there all of a sudden this white-washing of slavery in this country when effectively slavery was just as American as Apple pie? Everywhere else this has long been put where it belongs: The history books. How come not here? Who is to gain from keeping this topic alive if not even play it up so our emotions?

It can be a mixed blessing. If you are weak, incompetent or lazy the democrats will gladly take care of you for your vote, but thereafter you will be a slave to government handouts. That is the simplest explanation of the democrat (communist) party.

To be a slave is most fundamentally about being forced to do the work someone else sets for you to do without you having any choice in the matter.
More often than not it involves poverty, hard dirty work and long hours. But, the most central issue is not being able to quit the job, and go find other work.

Slaves are human beings that have the same feelings all other humans do. No one can tell you how it feels to be a slave but a slave ,and since all circumstances and owners of slaves were and are different you can only go by the slave narratives that were published long after slavery Such as To Be a Slave by Julius Lester . To Be a slave in 2020 still needs to be written or filmed one day some might publish a book on slavery today.
Before jumping right into slavery, try marriage for a few years. That should prepare you for your next transition.
Some slaves historically have had a better time of it than others - at times they (or freedmen) ran the Roman Empire - but the bottom line is that whatever you have as a slave can never be yours. You may have any amount of perks because you have a kindly "owner" this could change at any moment or you could be inherited or sold. So however well-off you might be its still shit.

Gabriel patted the slave’s head reassuringly. “I had him sent him here, he is in charge of my wine storehouses and is a body servant here. It’s quite a respectable position, supervising others,” he said. “You are happy here?”

- Has some power and agency
- Allowed to marry
- A master who seems not to beat him.
Notice Gabriel’s behavior.
He pats his slave on the head, like a child. He violates Thales’s bodily autonomy. He also asks a question that is meaningless. Thales can’t say “No, I hate it here, free me.”
A pleasant life for a slave is “At this point, it doesn’t look like I’ll be abused.”
But always knowing how quickly that can change.
Fortunately no American within the borders of the US knows that since 1972 when Peter Mills died, the last person alive to have been held in US slavery, at 110. There are no slaves or former slaves in this nation anymore.
Who is actually free?

I presume thus is directed to people whom are actually slaves. However they can't answer because slaves are not allowed cell phones nor the freedom to use one. Idiot.
If you’re talking about American African slavery, it was worse than you can possibly imagine.
African slavery is America’s great sin and we haven’t even started to expiate it.
Unfortunately many Africans don’t feel anything about the transatlantic slave trade or the trans Saharan one either. The reason being, too many of us don’t know much about it due to a faulty education systems, ignorance and poverty. Also, the collective memory of the events are not as present for Africans on the continent because it affected us differently to the way it impacted on those that survived transportation to the Americas and their descendants.
I think the majority of continental Africans did not grow up hearing about slavery in the same way as African Americans and African Caribb
Unfortunately many Africans don’t feel anything about the transatlantic slave trade or the trans Saharan one either. I think the majority of continental Africans did not grow up hearing about slavery in the same way as African Americans and African Caribbeans did and the stories that were told to us about our traditions and long ago ancestors were not linked to the history of slavery although many of the tales are obviously echoes of those dark days. In conclusion, I can say knowing what I know now, that I and other West Africans like me do not feel guilty about what transpired during slavery as if somehow we are more to blame.
