Happy Easter! My aunt Trudy turned 110 yesterday. Kevin Wallevand did another story with her that aired on Friday on WDAY 6:00 news. She is my mother’s younger sister. An amazing lady in so many ways. She doesn’t live in a nursing home, she doesn’t even live in assisted living. She is still independent in her own apartment. She is as sharp as ever and so interesting to visit with. She has experienced so much and remembers those experiences, even as far back as the 1919 pandemic when she was 3 years old. She remembers the village doctor coming to the farm during the pandemic. It is amazing what you can learn from her and her sense of humor is so great on top of that. She has always had a positive outlook and always has put the needs of others before her own. Always proud of her roots of growing up on a farm in ND and her Norwegian heritage. She has been blessed with good health overall and when she hasn’t, she has come through with flying colors. She has always had a lot of good friends and still does. What a lady not only in age but who she is. Happy 110th birthday aunt Trudy and Happy 110th Easter! She is an official Supercenturian as of yesterday.
