we actually do have to burn it all to the ground sorry
not to kinda doxx myself but i work here and was there the day it happened. we were told to “return to normal operations” less than 24 hours later and all of the posts that were sent to our internal notif system refused to acknowledge that a death had happened at all, they were just referring to it as shit like “an incident.” upper management’s response to the whole thing has been absolutely disgusting.
cool update to this for anyone interested: clocked in this morning and promptly upon logging into my station was hit with our yearly “heat illness prevention” mandatory training, several weeks before it normally gets pushed.
site management is well aware that the death was almost certainly related to the heat. not only do they not care and refuse to do anything about it, but they’re blatantly pushing responsibility onto the employees for our own illness and potential death caused by the working conditions they provide us.
never forget that the people who run these corporations see the rest of us as subhuman.
This is absolutely a problem that we have had at UPS as well— and we have had some nasty warehouse and delivery deaths in the past couple of years.
Contact the teamsters, please.

"Incident"? What a revolting lack of compassion. The deceased and his colleagues deserved so much better.
