In the Western Pacific

Amphibious assault ship USS Boxer (LHD-4) is operating near Guam. The Boxer Amphibious Ready Group includes Boxer, USS Comstock (LSD-45), USS Portland (LPD-27) and the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit.

U.S. 7th Fleet command ship USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19) is operating in the Sulu Sea near the Philippines.

In the Caribbean Sea

The ships of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group are operating in the Caribbean Sea. USS Iwo Jima (LHD-7) is in port at Naval Station Mayport, Fla.

The Amphibious Ready Group includes Iwo Jima, USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD-28), USS San Antonio (LPD-17) and the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit based out of Camp Lejeune and Marine Corps Air Base New River. The 22nd MEU consists of Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 263 (Reinforced), Combat Logistics Battalion 26 and the Battalion Landing Team, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment.

Guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Erie (CG-70) is operating in the region. Lake Erie is homeported at Naval Base San Diego, Calif.

Littoral Combat Ship USS Billings (LCS-15) is also operating in the Caribbean Sea. Billings is based at Naval Station Mayport, Fla.

In the Southern Atlantic

The George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike Group is operating off the coast of Africa as of Monday. The strike group is reportedly heading to join the naval buildup in U.S. 5th Fleet.

Amphibious assault ship USS Tripoli (LHA-7) is also operating in the CENTCOM area of responsibility. The Tripoli Amphibious Ready Group includes Tripoli, USS New Orleans (LPD-18) and elements of the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. USS Rushmore (LSD-47) has joined the Tripoli ARG, USNI News has learned.

In the Eastern Pacific

Aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN-68), along with destroyer escort USS Gridley (DDG-101), participated in a bilateral engagement with elements of the Ecuadorian Navy last week as part of exercise “Southern Seas 2026.” Nimitz will circumnavigate South America en route to Virginia, where it will eventually be decommissioned. The Navy recently announced that it would extend the carrier’s service life by 10 months, keeping it active into 2027, USNI News reported.

USCGC Polar Star (WAGB-10) Polar-class heavy icebreaker returns Monday to Seattle, Wash., having completed icebreaker operations in McMurdo Sound in support of Operation Deep Freeze.

In the Western Atlantic

Amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD-3) departed Friday from Norfolk, Va., according to ship spotters.

In addition to these major formations, not shown are others serving in submarines, individual surface ships, aircraft squadrons, SEALs, Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Forces, Seabees, EOD Mobile Units and more throughout the globe.
