Milano Cortina 2026 promotes excellence in sport and university education
The collaboration between Fondazione and Italian academic institutions is a strong bridge between universities and sport, built to promote awareness and expertise to train the talent and professionals of the future. Bocconi University, University of Verona, Università Cattolica, IULM University and the Politecnico di Milano are just some of the universities involved in the GEN26 project.
Collaboration with the CRUI Foundation
This agreement supports excellence in sport and studies, promoting dual careers. It is a long-lasting legacy that will increase academic education and internships on topics related to the most important sports events, as well as strengthening tools to support university student athletes. The agreement will provide 20,000 sports enthusiasts with the possibility to experience the Games in person through the Volunteers Programme.
Collaboration with SDA Bocconi School of Management
Transmitting and enhancing expertise and talent to train new professionals for large events in Italy is the underlying goal of this synergy with the SDA Bocconi School of Management. The first ever edition of the one-year Executive Master in Business of Events (EMBE) at SDA Bocconi began in September 2024. This original project, organised into six modules held in Doha, London, Milan, Paris and Rome over the course of sixteen months, combines academic excellence and the know-how of Italian managers and entrepreneurs through the global appeal of sport. The initiative adapts perfectly to the mission of the Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026: leaving a long-lasting legacy in the development of human capital to benefit the country.
