Olympic women's Alpine skiing and Paralympic women's and men's Alpine skiing will take centre stage at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre. This renowned sports venue in Cortina d’Ampezzo is named after Le Tofane, one of the most significant mountain groups in the Eastern Dolomites. It is ready to welcome the thrilling challenges of the world’s top athletes and the excitement of the spectators. Among the various slopes in the area, one stands above the rest as the queen of speed and adrenaline: Olympia delle Tofane. One of the most iconic ski runs in the world, it has a long and storied history with the Olympic Games. After hosting the Alpine skiing events at the 1956 Cortina Olympics, it became a permanent fixture on the Women’s World Cup circuit in downhill and super-G starting in 1993. In 2021, it also served as the venue for the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships.

Key features

At 2,560 meters in length, with a vertical drop of 750 meters, the Olympia delle Tofane is both majestic and legendary. The race begins with the Schuss, a steep section with a 64% gradient, where skiers reach their top speed, followed by the Duca d'Aosta jump. The course then leads into the Gran Curvone, the symbolic gateway to the central section, and the challenging Scarpadon segment.
