Ah yes, I will try my best to chat with you when I have time during so called "independent studies." I have tried to talk with my parents but I'm not sure if they will let me drop out and go for the apprenticeship. I might try winning the conversation with a vice principle for tomorrow's meeting about it. I am genuinely not suited for school from the start anyways. Apparently my friends called me stupid and dumbf*ck lol. Well, as an Asian I laughed along the way and just didn't bother fighting back cuz they regretted it. :) I'll have a chat with you when I have time tho. Wish me luck for the meeting!
Yes, thank you ex-GIHS teacher. I'm a kid who isn't used to crowded school. Yes, it indeed is the best school but not anymore. The current teachers are somewhat like a bad cop and good cop. The councils has agreed to increase the timetable that is know 100+ minute lessons each. It's weird because they said they were going to lower it down to 50. I guess it's because we don't do work when we lose motivation to do so. I wish we are allowed to vote instead of the councils deciding on themself. I think that every students have equal amount of supports. They do but not so much on Ingite/IB kids. I'm the oldest student in GIHS. I'll bee turning 19 next year!
They have introduced us 100+ minute lessons and it's hella depressing because we no longer allowed to charge our laptops anymore. I got told of for charging my laptop by a librarian when my other teachers allowed me. :/ I got connections around school. I'm kind of well known. I think it's because the teachers has so many stress that they target one person for a while and stops after realising they verbally illegally used it towards students when teachers are mean't to be/act nice towards them. I think that we should have a gorvenment worker just coming by every week to check on things and report back instead of having strike days.
Hey, thanks for sharing your teenage experience. I'm also a novelish writer for my hobby. As you can see, my english isn't great but my skills are just racing and playing volleyball. That's why I might quit and go to Racing school somewhere else and join a team or make one myself for multi international racing communities like Formula Drift, F1 and ect. I am currently doing Automotive Light Mechanic Repairs Cert II. I'm waiting for Apparent shipnd hopefully might be able to get hired by my Korea community workers around Adelaide. Thank you so much for the experience you have shared with me.
Tbh, I didn't expect to have so many replies of the experience peeople had here. I'm just a kid who is about to complete my TAFE and go to apparent ship. This year, the timetable is know 100+ minutes per lessons and the daymap rotates every few weeks. It's kinda annoying to get used to the new timetable because someone complained about it and they said that the lessons are shorter but they increased it from 60 to 100+ like it's confusing and everyone hates it but works get done. :) If anyone that is waiting for replies, I'm sorry. I'm busy but I'll try to make sure to read all of them!!
Hi, I'm in grade 11 and I'm having so many stress around me. I'm just curious how many of you people have repeated a year or two? I am starting to give up on school and go straight towards apprenticeship by the end of year11. I'm a political noob here and a dumb kid. I'm 17 turning 18 in 10 months. I think. I'm just wondering how many people have been to GIHS from 2001 and somewhat in random days. I'm curious what y'all think about this school. For me, I'm having hard time trying to keep my anger to myself. I'm just not suited for school. Any people that went and graduated from GIHS? Please let me know. I want to hear all of your experiences and what pathway/subjects you people chose.
