The recent release of an English-dedicated Twitter account for the IdolMaster franchise has accrued criticism of all types, including those expecting “tourists” to now have a larger excuse to attack the franchise, in addition to said tourists complaining about people complaining about tourists.
For those not familiar, “tourist” is a newly developed form of slang that applies to individuals who are new to a franchise – and they often try to trigger chaos in a fandom by demanding a franchise or community cater to their whims. They are not unlike so-called “woke activists” who get “offended by everything” in an attempt to change whatever they want.
The tweet announcing the official IdolMaster EN Twitter account was overflowing with quote tweets from those familiar with and tired of tourists, while tourists themselves can also be seen whining about people who think their constant desire to force politically correct changes on a franchise is corrupt and annoying (who they all seem to collectively call “chuds”, as indicated by the comments).
