99% of the links in these text files are archived at archive.vn. This item contains links to archived 8chan threads. 8chan, before it was significatly watered down into its recent incarnation of 8kun, was a pro-free speech Futaba-style imageboard website. It was censored in 2019 because a portion of the 8chan users were right wing and a user posted a PDF document to 8chan, before said document was posted to any other website (probably), and then that 8chan user (allegedly Patrick Wood Crusius) murdered people with political motivations. (My perspective: there will always be people who act violently, whether it be as the result of left wing, right wing, or religious motivations. There is a wide variety of views held be people in regards to what the world should be like, and some act with rational or irrational force in trying to exert there views onto the world. This is infinitely better than trying to control and censor everyone and everything. Currently, right wing acts of violence in history pales in comparison to left wing acts of violence in history. More than 30,000 people die in traffic crashes each year in the United States, so how are the deaths of those people any less senseless than politically motivated murders? It is a matter of focus and importance, and way more people die of traffic crashes xor cancer than murder each year. Therefore, why isn't there more focus on those causes of death if society supposedly values human life so much?)

http://archivecaslytosk.onion/[...]. http://archivecaslytosk.onion is the version of http://archive.is which can be accessed with the Tor Browser. archivecaslytosk.onion, archive.is, archive.ph, archive.today, and archive.vn are all the same website, so if you use any of those links with the path "/i33CW" (e.g., "http://archive.is/i33CW") you will end up at an archive of the webpage https://www.khanacademy.org/science/chemistry/chemical-bonds/types-chemical-bonds/v/covalent-networks-metallic-and-ionic-crystals. If you want to standardize everything, use https://textmechanic.com/text-tools/basic-text-tools/find-and-replace-text/ with Find:"http://archivecaslytosk.onion/?url" and Replace:"http://archive.is/?url".
While looking through these archives it was discovered that the Web 1.0 dongcopter/dickcopter GIF might have temporarily been used as 8/pol/'s favicon. "Dongcopter" here refers to the incident where a flying dildo was used to troll some sort of convention (a political convention I think): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O3Irrt-9h4U. Multiple links at archive.today show this favicon with 8/pol/ threads from June 2017, like this one:
http://archive.today/2017.06.06-131212/http://8ch.net/pol/res/10038192.html - unusual favicon
However, when viewing one or more of these threads which have the dongcopter favicon at the Wayback Machine, the default 8chan favicon shows up instead. Said dickcopter favicon which was used at 8chan (and is different from https://images.encyclopediadramatica.se/images/3/32/Dickcopter.gif, from https://encyclopediadramatica.se/Dongcopter → https://encyclopediadramatica.se/File:Dickcopter.gif, MD5: 28DA05F407EDBCA5BCFBB7C6DF2E5F1C) has a Base64 of:

".0.txt.un~" was renamed to "8chanPolAtArchiveDotToday.txt.un" in December 6, 2019 at 9:40 AM GMT. It was previously (but no longer) a functional undo file which could have been used by Vim by using ":rundo .\.0.txt.un~" when 0.txt was opened in Vim; "rundo" means "run undo" or something, the first "." means the current directory (which contains .0.txt.un~) or it could be replaced with any path leading to the plain text file which was formerly named ".0.txt.un~". If try to run that command with 8chanPolAtArchiveDotToday.txt opened in Vim now, it will return the error "File contents changed, cannot use undo info"; the files got out of sync at some point. Although 8chanPolAtArchiveDotToday.txt.un no longer really works as version control, you can use it see more information on the URLs. Open "8chanPolAtArchiveDotToday.txt.un" with notepad.exe or something to see details on the URLs; you will see the string "5_Ð" throughout this file, so if you want correct numbers be aware that this string messes up the correctness of some of the numbers if you are not aware of this muddling phenomenon. The file signature for a JPG file is "ÿØÿà..JFIF"; the file signature of Vim undo files is "VimŸUnDoå". It is not "VimUnDo", but it is close, more on file signatures: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_file_signatures. Vim command used to get a URL per line (this text was saved in "vim.txt"):
