It felt like such a great accomplishment. And here the church dumped the BSA because of SA. I think BSA should have been the organization to dump the church because of SA.

The BSA scandal could have been the perfect opportunity for the church to clean up its act. And they could have saved the scouting program.

But no, they had to protect the perps and the corporation.

I have the Bison Skull D2G. Back in the 70s, if you were a mormon Eagle Scout, it was just given to you - model priesthood holder or not.

Remember when the church used to actually spend a tiny amount of money making their members happy?

I got one of those , they one they gave me was rusted bishop said sorry . Never even put it on my uniform. The low energy the church put into scouting became reciprocal.

My mom really pushed me on all of these and they might be in a box at her house

I was given a duty to god award and we didn’t even have scouts or a ym group leader. I was told because I went to Sacrament all the time.

The YM got cool things like these, and YW got "medallions," which were meh.
