Israel is the first state in history to legislate a death sentence that applies only to one ethnic group. There's a reason nobody has ever done this. It's a depth of evil beyond humanity itself.

On International Women’s Day, the women of Gaza are not just survivors of suffering. They are a living symbol of strength and dignity in the hardest times. The greatest example for me is my mother. I lost my father when I was about six years old. But my mother stayed strong and filled the space my father left. She raised us, educated us, and stood by us while she was still young. She never left us for a moment. How great the mothers of Palestine are.

Israel has closed all crossings of the Gaza Strip, including the Rafah crossing. No humanitarian aid is allowed in, and no basic goods can enter. With this decision, a full blockade on Gaza is imposed again. Using the war with Iran as a reason, these restrictive policies continue, and we as Palestinians are the ones who pay the price. Yet we are the ones who suffer the harsh consequences, with no power to change the situation.

While I was sleeping on my pillow, I thought for a moment that I was dreaming. A helicopter was flying low above us, then a missile was launched over our heads. The sound when it was fired was terrifying. But when I woke up, I realized that what I thought was a dream was actually a harsh reality that happened early this morning. Israel committed massacres against families in Gaza. Three residential apartments and a tent sheltering displaced people were bombed. This attack left 12 people killed, most of them children. I wish it had been a dream… but it is the painful truth. If you want it shorter, stronger, or adjusted for social media, tell me and I’ll refine it.

When you realize that taking a shower requires all your effort and energy, you understand that even the simplest things are no longer simple. In the freezing winter, taking a shower here is not an easy decision. It means using a large part of your family’s limited water. It means buying firewood to heat the water. It means carrying the water by hand. It means breathing in smoke that hurts your chest. It means exhausting your body just to start a fire and warm the water. So you think a hundred times before taking a shower, not because you don’t want to, but because life here has turned basic needs into a heavy burden.
