`Skies’ in need of more Woo-ing

The USA Network’s “Red Skies” is a John Woo production in name only. The director of “Mission: Impossible 2,” and “Face/Off,” an executive producer in this new TV movie, is best known for the poetically filmed fight sequences and multilayered character development found in his cult classics “Hard Boiled,” “A Better Tomorrow” and “The Killer.”

But those elements are scarce in this film.
