1914..?...not logical. I'm saying this as a Turk. I love Egyptian culture and no problem to be an Egyptian, but Ottomans, Selçuk Turks were both cosmopolite cultures which were also faith of all Anatolian cultures till Helenistic and Roman Empire times…

It isn't because a country is invaded that all the previous inhabitants suddenly disappeared, flew or are slain. So most often after several centuries a big part of the population has mixed origins
