The MP 18 is good enough. Having a 6.8 damage SMG that fires at 690 is nice for the Germans. The trick is to not double zoom while firing to help offset the heavy recoil jitter the guy has.

The Lewis .303 should be removed from the game and replaced by an apology letter.

That is all completely true. It is a completely solid and fun to use gun. However, I would argue that for BR II SMG premiums that are better, you have:

>UD M42
>USMC Thompson
>7,63 Thompson (yes, even missing a squad member)
>Type 100 Bipod
>Type 100 Para
>Type 1

For a German SMG premium it's great (not that it has much competition), but in a universal sense it's just fine. Even in its previous state as a BR I SMG with a 520 ROF it was basically just a worse MP 34, but the low ROF made it great for medkit golems.

The M1A1 Para is great after the M1 buffs. The only problem is that it gets the fucking Grease Gun in BR II matches, which is terrible. The Welgun gets the Bren, which isn't great either, but the M1A1 Paras get the BAR at BR III, where the Welgun gets the Lanchester, which is quite sad.

I go with this for the Frenchoids. It's really up to personal taste. I find being able to instantly heal to fill health after being plinked by a bot is more useful than moving 5% quicker, but that's just me.

It's my go-to BRII smg. I wish BR3 had a greasegun with a bigger mag and only like, 50 more RPM. It's ridiculously controllable, has very simple and high-visibility sights, and has good performance at range. It's a super easy way to just gun down an entire squad without having to be cracked out on pervitin.
Who the fuck needs trigger discipline and bursts, when you can just sweep it to the next guy while holding the trigger down?

The Thompson is too fast when it's upgraded and still doesn't have a bigger mag. 500-550 RPM is the sweetspot, if I could upgrade it for damage and recoil without increasing the RPM, that'd be good.
The BR3 Thompson is even fucking faster. It's also the only BR3 SMG in the burger tech tree because the snail is busy making all that shit into premiums/event crap instead.

500-550 is pretty slow, yeah, but for a high-damage SMG with 30-round mags at BR2, it's fine. Something like a grease gun with a 50 round mag and 600 RPM would be my dream gun for BR3. Though I guess that's just the MP 28 (7.65) with more damage, which makes sense since I love the MP 28 (7.65)

The problem is that it's literal fucking gachashit and 89% (At least, probably more when rounding multiple categories is taken into account) of the drops are absolute worthless TRASH. And then a good chunk of the ~10% of drops that people might actually want, are STILL trash.

Then, if you look at the odds in those specific categories, you'll see that it's heavily weighted towards fucking reskins of pistols and hammers. I've got multiple fucking hammers and pistol reskins at this point. I think the only worthwhile weapons I've gotten after a couple hundred crates combined from this event and Christmas are a single MkB 42(H) 15, Koko rifle, RMN-50, and a burger sword. The rest of the shit has been two pistol reskins, TWO fucking construction hammers, two suppressed nagants which I do think are nice, but are barely not a reskin, and a fucking Berdan II.

I started playing this last week and it was fun for 2-3 days, in summary for few hours. When game rated me a bit higher rank (sergeant first class), I can't even aim because I'm getting shot immediately.
