Reminder that Bush, Cheney and Kissinger were not in the Epstien files, they just did it for the love of the game

During the Iran-Iraq War many in the US government believed it would be beneficial to American interests if Iran and Iraq had both bled each other dry. Saddam Hussein’s Iraq who sponsored terrorist groups and revolutionary Iran responsible for the 1979 hostage crisis were both seen as threats. Because of this US involvement consisted of quietly supplying Iraq while also secretly selling weapons to Iran resulting in the Iran contra scandal.

Theres a very famous quote about the situation said by Henry Kissinger - “It’s a pity both sides can’t lose”

Theres a very famous quote about the situation said by Henry Kissinger - “It’s a pity both sides can’t lose”

I mean, honestly, they basically did. The war ended in a draw. Both sides gained nothing.

[–]BrandosWorld4Life 112 points113 points  (9 children)

I mean yeah, fuck them both. Saddam's Iraq and revolutionary Iran both were/are evil regimes.

[–]KnightriusNobody here except my fellow trees 3 points4 points  (6 children)

Which regime fell in the war? Are you CIA?

[–]BrandosWorld4Life 2 points3 points  (5 children)

"Everyone I don't like is a fed" 🤡

[–]KnightriusNobody here except my fellow trees 0 points1 point  (4 children)

Which regime fell in the war?

[–]BrandosWorld4Life -1 points0 points  (3 children)

Unfortunately, neither. Ideally, both.

[–]KnightriusNobody here except my fellow trees -3 points-2 points  (2 children)

So you were just cheering for people dying for no reason, got it

[–]BrandosWorld4Life 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Strawman lol, I never said anything in support of the war, I said fuck the regimes on both sides. You know, the ones who actually caused all the needless bloodshed.

Something only a CIA agent would say according to you, apparently. Gonna call me a fed again?

[–]KnightriusNobody here except my fellow trees 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah US arming both sides isn't sketchy at all and didn't contribute to any bloodshed. Why help or intervene at all? What did funding both sides do?

[–]okabe700[🍰] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's a pity all 3 couldn't lose

[–]UnhealthyCheesecake 8 points9 points  (1 child)

Henry Kissinger to Dick Cheney within 20ish years of each other really hammered home an era of unabashed evilness in American foreign policy

[–]Command0Dude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kissinger's influence on US foreign policy is vastly overstated.

The Iran-Iraq War was one of the most senseless wars in human history.

[–]BigDonkey7020 48 points49 points  (4 children)

What about the war for Jenkin’s ear? They didn’t even get the dude’s ear back

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_of_Jenkins'_Ear?wprov=sfti1

[–]R2J4Hello There 12 points13 points  (3 children)

That’s why I said «one of the most»

[–]BigDonkey7020 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I know, I was just kidding. But for real, there is still a reward for the ear, so if you happen to see it dm me.

[–]R2J4Hello There 5 points6 points  (1 child)

I don't need an ear. I need compensation for the pig that was killed.)

[–]BigDonkey7020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With compounded interest that pig could theoretically be worth millions by now. I understand your frustration and I support your quest for justice

[–]PygmeePony 160 points161 points  (12 children)

He's not seeing much with him being dead and all.

[–]seensham 80 points81 points  (6 children)

His spirit lives on in Stephen Miller

[–]TPasha444 15 points16 points  (5 children)

Stephen Miller's an internal guy, Kissinger was a foreign affairs/national security advisor, beside both being Jews in a Republican government what's the connection

[–]the_homieely 13 points14 points  (2 children)

What is They’re both terrible ppl who destroyed families and trust in the government

[–]TPasha444 -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

Kissinger had no internal role so he couldn't have destroyed *American* families and trust in the government

[–]sulfurmustard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Laughs in agent orange

[–]seensham 4 points5 points  (1 child)

TIL Stephen Milleris Jewish.

Regardless, they're both warmongers in their respective president's ear. The difference is this guy wants a race war apparently.

[–]TPasha444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know when I found out Stephen Miller was Jewish I was so disappointed ngl

Not very smart of Miller to want a race war considering when those happen Jews get impacted first by all sides, my source is every country in conflict that had Jews live in it ever

[–]G0alLineFumbles 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The meme is about the Iran-Iraq war which was from 1980-88. He was still alive then.

[–]GarlicEnjoyer-Dez 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I mean the picture looks like its him in hell

[–]Fat-Kid-In-A-Helmet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Once you've been to Cambodia, you'll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with you're bear hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about the treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia - the fruits of his genius for statesmanship - and you will never understand why he's not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milošević. While Henry continues to nibble nori rolls and remake at A-list parties, Cambodi, the neutral nation he illegally bombed, invaded, undermined, and then threw to the dogs, is still trying to raise itself up on its one remaining leg."

To be fair Kissinger would have a heart attack if he witnessed how trump have lead the war until now. He would be horrified that Trump did not manage yet, killing enough civilians.

[–]TrentonTallywackerStill salty about Carthage 43 points44 points  (0 children)

“Why is he not carpet bombing the ever living fuck out of Turkmenistan?” - Kissinger probably

[–]LaunchTransient 18 points19 points  (2 children)

I think he would more be horrified at how inept Trump is making the US look.

Civilian casualties was not Kissinger's concern, American prestige was.

[–]rydellrock -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

I could be horribly wrong but from which i know is that Kissinger was the typ of guy that did not cared much about prestige but cared a lot about power and control

[–]LaunchTransient 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Prestige is part of that power and control. Trump sneered at soft power, but is now finding out what happens when you lose it.

[–]Medical-Total6034 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mans would have LOVED paradox map painting games

[–]clcl-0101 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Kissinger’s carcass should exhumed and be put on display in museum for history’s greatest monsters.

[–]skoober-duberDefinitely not a CIA operator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can someone find that image of him saying "its a shame both sides cant loose"

[–]nyouhas 1 point2 points  (1 child)

[–]MedicalFoundation149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be fair, OP edited the flags.

Original had Israel vs Palestine.

[–]KD-VR5Fangirl[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming this originally comes from the video im thinking of that video is insane

[–]Personal-Lock9623 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Did you ever think I wanted both sides to lose?"

[–]Indexed3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True machiavellian, how we like ‘em.

[–]thefartingmangoTaller than Napoleon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

suspicious black guy meme

[–]Redditbobin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kissinger dying a free man, unpunished, is one of the great moral failings of the human race.
