Born on 2 December 1917, Colin has lived through—and helped document—some of the most significant moments in modern history. From his early days riding motorbikes around Adelaide, to serving nearly 2,000 days in the Australian Army, to photographing the surrender of Japanese General Baba Masao in Borneo (with images now held at the Australian War Memorial), his story is truly one of a kind.

From wartime service and historic photography to classic cars and a hot lap at 102, Colin’s 108 years young continue to inspire us. As a proud Resthaven Murray Mallee & Hills Community Services client, his remarkable story and spirit are truly one for the ages.
