Both Asharis and Maturidis NEGATE Secondary Causation. They are "Strict" occasionalists. By secondary causation we mean: 1. Creation having an independent power to create. 2. Creation having an dependent power to create. 1st belief is Kufr. 2nd belief is Biddah.

You should at the very least research how this term "secondary causation" is used by your opponents. Note: Calling Prophet [peace be upon him] reason for the creation of the World or that he is the sabab is DIFFERENT from saying He [peace be upon him] is a secondary cause.

Had you read a basic primer on Ashari & Maturidi theology, you'd realize that we affirm occasionalism i.e. Allah is the creator of each & everything that exists including their accidents. He is creator of causes and creator of effects. You are literally belying Ahlus Sunnah.

Imam Ghazali dedicated an entire chapter refuting Philosophers and proving to them that fire, heat it generates, combustion and burning are all contingents and hence brought into existence by Allah. When we say "Fire" is the "cause" of "burning". We do NOT mean: 1. Fire possesses an independent ability to create the burning, (secondary causality) 2. Fire possesses a power deposited by Allah to create the burning, (secondary causality). We mean Fire correlates with it.

Note: This doesn't mean that we the Ashariyah and Maturidiyah deny "Haqiqat-e-Mohammadiya" or "The Mohammadan Reality" [Peace be upon him]. It doesn't mean however that He [peace be upon him] has an attribute of Takwin or Omnipotence [independent or dependent].

Note: This also doesn't mean that Ashariyah and Maturidiyah deny Tassaruf of Prophet [peace be upon him]. However, affirming this DOES NOT mean affirming attribute of omnipotence or Takwin (dependent or independent) for him [peace be upon him].
