Earlwood Public School
Earlwood Public School is located in the inner west of Sydney. The local area is characterised by well-established homes in a traditional suburban setting. The school was established in 1916 and is committed to developing both academic and personal excellence in learning and life. The school has an increasingly diverse school population, with 91% of students from a non-English speaking background. This diversity creates the opportunity for real-life learning and authentic experiences for our students, both academically and socially. The school caters for all learners with an academically selective stream, comprehensive stream and a support class for students with physical disabilities. All measures of academic performance, especially the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) reflect a rich learning environment, supportive teaching strategies and successful intervention processes. Earlwood Public School is classified as a P2 school, with over 590 students. It is large enough to offer myriad opportunities for success, yet small enough for every student to know they are important and valued. The school is well-known for its warm, welcoming and caring community.
LED Upgrade
The $157.8 million LED Lighting Upgrade Program will install new LED lights in up to 1,000 public schools across NSW. This means reduced operating costs for schools and improved learning environments and outcomes for our students.

Maintenance
To ensure the safety, reliability and longevity of our schools, every school across NSW receives maintenance. The Department undertakes preventative and routine maintenance every year, and repairs as needed. The Department also reviews the planned maintenance program for each school every year and reviews those items that are predicted to require work to help prolong the life of the school buildings and facilities.

Schools Renewal
The $240 million Schools Renewal Program aims to accelerate projects that will improve the amenity of schools and kick start local jobs for local communities. This is a co-funded program, with each school contributing up to 50 per cent of the project cost.
