Most companies are still waiting for #innovation to come from the top. 𝗔 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺, 𝗮 𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗮𝗽, 𝗮 𝗯𝘂𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘂𝗽. The leaders we interviewed across APAC told us something different. The best improvements they've seen this year didn't come from innovation departments. They came from a store employee, a floor manager, a frontline team that could see a problem and was trusted to say something about it. Guzman y Gomez Singapore. FamilyMart Indonesia. MR DIY Malaysia. All running on the same instinct. Our latest newsletter breaks down what they figured out, and what needs to be in place for it to work. Link below.

The best innovation models are not top-down. They're what happens when you put the right tools in everyone's hands. At Lark Reimagine 2026, we're exploring what it truly means to democratize innovation — empowering every team, every function, and every individual to drive meaningful change. Joining us for this conversation: 🔹 Asogan Moorthy, IT Manager, Mydin Malaysia — Operations Track 🔹 Gil Carmo, CEO & Co-Founder, iMotorbike — Tech Track They'll share how leading enterprises are breaking down silos, removing friction, and proving that execution excellence isn't a top-down mandate — it's a culture. If you believe innovation should be everyone's job and not just the IT team, join us at #LarkReimagine2026 👇 https://lnkd.in/gi8CWDt8

We just open-sourced Lark CLI and it changes how AI agents work with productivity tools. Here's the problem: most #AI agents today are smart but isolated. They can reason and write code, but they can't actually see your calendar, read your group chats, or update your docs. #LarkCLI fixes that. One install, and your agent operates Lark directly — messages, docs, sheets, calendars, meetings, tasks, wiki, email, contacts, and more. Not suggestions. 𝗜𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸. Think of it this way: your AI conversation becomes a 3-way group chat — you, the AI, and Lark. Before, Lark wasn't in the room. The AI could only suggest what to do. Now it talks to Lark directly. You just make the call. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗣𝗜𝘀? Lark CLI was built for AI from day one: → Error messages tell the agent how to fix things — not just "error 403" → Missing permissions trigger guided auth flows automatically → Commands are optimized for minimal token consumption → Significantly higher success rates vs. raw API calls Works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Trae — anything that runs a CLI. Supports user identity and app identity. Fully #opensource. No registration. No approval process. 𝗇𝗉𝗆 𝗂𝗇𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗅𝗅 -𝗀 \@𝗅𝖺𝗋𝗄𝗌𝗎𝗂𝗍𝖾/𝖼𝗅𝗂 Then ask your agent: "Check my calendar for tomorrow, summarize my unread messages, and draft a status update doc." Watch it actually happen. Star the repo. Try it. Break it. Ship something with it. → GitHub: github.com/larksuite/cli

What does the future of Malaysia’s retail industry really look like? Lark is featured in Malaysia Retail Chain Association (MRCA) Retailer Magazine (Vol. 13 No. 2). As the MRCA 33rd Anniversary Event Platinum Sponsor, we’re proud to spotlight how retailers are evolving through resilience, digitalization, and stronger collaboration. In the President’s Message, Datuk Ken Phua , Ph.D. reinforces MRCA’s role in bringing retailers together and driving progress through technology adoption, partnerships, and a future-ready mindset to keep retailers competitive in a rapidly changing landscape. At Lark, we’re helping teams reimagine the way they operate: ✔️ Turning days of reporting into minutes ✔️ Connecting teams, workflows, and data on one platform ✔️ Reducing manual work and improving efficiency ✔️ Empowering faster, smarter decision-making From ZUS COFFEE to POP MART and Xiaomi Technology, the shift is clear - retail in Malaysia is becoming more connected, agile, and digital-first. 👉 Read the full magazine here (find us on pages 23–24): https://lnkd.in/gZRvuTKA

It's what happens when the people closest to the work can actually fix what's broken. OUE Restaurants: A Délifrance manager suggests company-paid flu vaccines to cut absenteeism. Leadership implemented it in days. FamilyMart Indonesia: A store employee finds a better way to sweep floors. Management standardized it across every location within a week. No innovation lab. No six-month pilot. No consultants. The gap between investment and priority exists because the best companies stopped treating innovation as a standalone initiative. They built two things instead: 1. A culture where people speak up. 2. An infrastructure that captures and scales those ideas. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗶𝘅 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺? Mengolah data, memantau laporan, hingga menyiapkan briefing pagi. ✅ Built-in Office Skills: Dari bikin Sales Report, Competitor Analysis, sampai generate Flowchart & PPT langsung jadi dokumen Lark Docs. Bayangkan Anda diskusi strategi di grup marketing, lalu cukup message AI Agent di Lark: "Buatkan draft project plan berdasarkan chat group Marketing." Boom. Dalam hitungan detik, draft Lark Docs sudah siap di-review tim. No more manual copy-paste. Penasaran lihat demonya? 𝗔 𝟭𝟬% 𝗽𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝘀𝘄𝗲𝗿. It isn’t anymore. Across 22 APAC leaders we spoke to, #culture ranked top. Above #growth. Above #innovation. But what stood out was how it’s being run. Stay interviews led by senior leadership. Decision-making pushed back to the frontline. Real visibility into how people experience the business day to day. Not perks. Something more operational than that. When compensation stops being the answer, culture becomes the advantage. More in the full piece.

Many organizations have experimented with AI. Far fewer have successfully embedded it into how work actually gets done. The difference isn't the technology. It's the willingness to rethink everything around it — the processes, the decision-making, the culture. At Lark Reimagine 2026, two leaders who've done exactly that share what it really looks like to build an AI-first organization from the inside out: - Wai Hong Fong, Co-Founder & Chieftain, StoreHub - Zi Yong Chua, Chief Operating Officer, Carro Hosted by Simon Hsieh, Customer Success Manager, Lark. 🔗 Save a spot at #LarkReimagine2026 https://lnkd.in/g742TkxV

Here’s a look back at the MR DIY Malaysia x Lark Efficiency Pioneer Competition in January 🚀 The competition was designed with a clear goal: scale Lark adoption across teams, while empowering ideas from those closest to day-to-day operations. “Our brand promise is always low prices. Where do low prices come from? From continuously finding ways to be more efficient.” - Shie Haur T., CEO of MDIH At MR DIY Malaysia, efficiency is more than a KPI. Strategy starts at the HQ. Results happen on the floor. This morning I had the privilege of speaking at the QSR Media Asia Conference & Awards 2026 about what it costs F&B operators to overlook their frontline, and the room's energy told me this topic is hitting a nerve. Earlier this year, Lark sat down with 22 leaders across some of the most recognizable brands in the region (Nando's Malaysia, Canada Goose, Guzman y Gomez Singapore and more) — to understand where frontline-focused industry leaders are placing their bets in 2026. The answer wasn't innovation. It wasn't growth (only 9% ranked it #1). It was #culture. Not ping-pong tables and team offsites... Instead, the kind of culture that shows up on the shop floor: → Genuinely empowering frontline teams → HQs that truly listen — not just broadcast → Prioritizing solving problems on the floor The brands getting this right are already pulling ahead: → Guzman y Gomez Singapore renamed their head office the "Restaurant Support Center", a small name change that makes a big statement: HQ exists to serve restaurants, not the other way around. → Nando's Malaysia shifted autonomy to their store managers, and watched engagement and accountability follow. → ZUS COFFEE built a system where customer commendations are visible company-wide, and frontline teams run efficiency competitions, pitching workflow improvements from their own day-to-day. The shift is clear: the floor is taking the lead, and HQ is doing less directing, more supporting. This didn't happen by inspiration (only); the cost of ignoring the frontline has simply become too hard to absorb: 🔴 Standards slipping and margins eroding 🔴 Signals from the floor arriving too late for HQ to act 🔴 Good people leaving — taking relationships and institutional knowledge with them As AI levels the playing field on technology, the differentiator is increasingly human: the barista who remembers your order, the manager who turns a complaint into loyalty... This is what your frontline delivers — and it cannot be automated. Thank you to QSR Media Asia for bringing together such a sharp, engaged community of leaders, and to Singapore Business Review for covering the session so quickly. Disruption only matters if you can sustain it. Most companies don't lose their edge to competitors. They lose it to their own growth — the systems, structures, and risk aversion that creep in as the headcount climbs. So how do you scale without becoming the thing you set out to disrupt? Herman Widjaja (CTO, Tokopedia), Lim Ben-Jie (Chief People & Partnerships Officer, AirAsia MOVE), and Cheryl Liew (Head of Talent, Monk's Hill Ventures), sit down with Shan Li Tay (Managing Director, Endeavor Malaysia) at Lark Reimagine 2026 to unpack how they have kept their edge — and what it actually costs to stay disruptive at scale. 🔗 From bold bets to team design, hear from APAC's builders at #LarkReimagine2026 https://lnkd.in/gnKB6FU8

Last week, we had the privilege of hosting the closing dinner for the Singapore Retailers Association’s Innovation Leaders Study Trip 2026 in Hangzhou. It was a great way to wrap up an inspiring week, especially as leaders explored one of the most transformative forces in retail today: e-commerce livestreaming, and how it’s reshaping how brands engage, sell, and scale. We loved connecting with retail leaders from Singapore, exchanging perspectives, and reflecting on what it takes to stay competitive in this new era of retail. A big thank you to the Singapore Retailers Association and TikTok Shop for having Lark as part of this journey.

When you go from 10 stores to 100, everything breaks. Your processes. Your org structure. The systems that used to work. Hypergrowth doesn't reward the fastest mover — it rewards the one who built the right infrastructure before they needed it. At Lark Reimagine 2026, Venon Tian (Group COO, ZUS COFFEE), Jerry Goei (Group COO, Lippo Indonesia), Leo gan (COO, MR DIY Malaysia), and Ooh Chin Boon (CIO, BIG CARING GROUP) open up — in a conversation hosted by Olivier Adam (Head of Commercial, Lark) — about the decisions that gave them runway to scale, and the ones that cost them momentum. "𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙛𝙖𝙩, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙖𝙩." That line, from Renaldi Tjahaya, CTO of Kawan Lama Group, captures what most efficiency conversations miss entirely. Cost-cutting looks straightforward until you have to decide what actually counts as waste and what doesn't. Most companies never make that distinction. The question is whether yours does. "If we do not have a proper knowledge base, sanitized data sources, and well-documented processes, whatever AI you put in place is going to amplify the mess." — Zi Yong Chua, COO at Carro 55% of APAC leaders are investing heavily in AI. The ones seeing results built three foundations first: 1. 𝗢𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 - Scale only when ready, only where it matters 2. 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 - Business defines problems, IT provides solutions 3. 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 - Sanitized data, documented processes, psychological safety Sunway Group made a no-layoffs commitment. If you're heading into 2026 with an aggressive growth plan, this might give you pause. Why do companies invest more in technology, yet execution still slows down? Because digital transformation is not a technology project. It is a leadership agenda. In The Jakarta Post, Lark’s APAC GM, Mark Dembitz, argues that productivity does not improve simply because new tools are introduced. It improves when leaders redesign how work is structured, how decisions are made, and how teams align around priorities. Across organizations, the same friction shows up: • Too many disconnected applications • Information scattered across systems • Limited visibility into progress at the leadership level When transformation is treated as procurement, complexity increases. When it is owned by leadership, execution accelerates. The companies that move ahead are those where the C-suite leads from the front. They adopt the tools themselves. They simplify workflows. They tie daily operations to measurable outcomes. Digital transformation succeeds when it moves from the IT roadmap to the boardroom agenda. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/etyCijjH

At Time International, retention is managed deliberately. They identified 74 key talents. Each person gets assigned to an HR team member. That person has one KPI: prevent them from leaving. Not "improve engagement scores." Not "run training programs." 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗺. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴. Why? Because the math is brutal. - Every departure costs 9-15 months of salary. - Recruitment takes 6-9 months. - Lost productivity takes another 3-6 months. Knowledge walks out the door. 45% of APAC leaders now rank culture #1. Not as aspiration. As P&L infrastructure. The split we found is fascinating: • Fast-growing companies use culture as their retention weapon when they can't win salary wars. • Established companies with deeper pockets rely on compensation and strong systems. Both work. Both are honest about their constraints. Which camp are you in? And is it actually working? More culture economics 👇 https://lnkd.in/gVPwVjuj

We sat down with 22 C-suite leaders across APAC. Canada Goose, Domino's, Luckin Coffee, among others. Here's what surprised us: 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝟵% 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 #𝟭 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆. 𝟱𝟱% 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗜. The pattern is clear: "Build operational strength first. Scale when you can maintain control." This isn't cautious. This is calculated. When conditions change monthly, the 'right' strategy matters less than infrastructure that can execute whatever strategy becomes necessary. Are you seeing this shift in your organization? Lark to Win: Partner Enablement in Action At our 2026 Lark Partner Kick-off, Bruce Cheng made one point clear: Partner success in 2026 will be driven by enablement that is practical, structured, and consistent. This week, we followed through with Lark to Win sessions across Bangkok, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City. More than 80 participants (online and offline) from different partners joined focused workshops covering: - Industry solution architecture and positioning - Practical sales methodologies, including discovery, “Tell-Show-Tell” presentation method, and objection handling - Hands-on application through live group exercises The goal was simple: Equip Lark partners with clearer frameworks and practical skills to execute with confidence in 2026. Thank you to all Lark partners who showed up, engaged deeply, and contributed to strong discussions.

Growth ranked last. Only 9% of leaders put it at the top. What ranked highest? #Efficiency and #AI, #culture, and #collaboration. When consumer behavior, regulations, and competitive moves shift monthly, the focus has moved from perfect planning to execution capability. The ability to move when you need to matters more than the initial plan. We've compiled 22 of these conversations into a full report covering where leaders are placing their bets, what's working, and the tactical examples behind the numbers. Building the future of retail with Kawan Lama Group 🙌 Lark hosted Kawan Lama Group's leadership team in Shenzhen, China for two days of focused conversations on scale, execution and digital transformation. Highlights from the trip: - An exclusive visit to BYD HQ and factory, offering firsthand exposure on how one of China's leading manufacturers operates at scale. - ByteDance tour and Lark sharing of best practices on how leading brands reimagine the way they collaborate, innovate and grow. - A session by BytePlus exploring how AI supports execution and insights across large organizations.
