Did you get a certificate with that medal? My one from Afghanistan was a NATO non article five and there was a certificate also.

    It specifically states that it’s not for force structure/command structure. (So you must be deployed -eVA/AP type stuff-

    NCIA, NFIU, MND, MNC, JFCs etc, don’t count

    I received an Operation Unified Protector- Libya clasp NATO medal. yes, it had the long needle point instead of pins.

    Mine never had the vigilance device only the bronze ISAF device. Got mine in GWOT. Nice looking mental though make sure to keep it well and good job.

    I remember receiving my NATO Medal at SHAPE. Retired GEN Sir Mike Jackson shook my hand afterwards along with the rest of our All Source Analysis team.

    This is a dope medal. 

    A NATO medal appeared on my DD214 though I was never awarded one. I wouldn’t wear it but I thought it was interesting.
