Foreign Jump Wings

I was wondering if anybody could possibly share for the good of the group about any upcoming opportunities for people to get foreign jump wings. I would especially like to hear about any in Georgia, any yearly reoccurring ones (I've heard Benning does a toy drop), foreign wings exchanges, and if you need to have gone to ABN school. now I know the regulation says you need to have your US airborne wings before you can wear foreign ones but if there is any possible events one could participate without having to have to ABN school that would be awesome.

I just want a free bag of chipssss

You seriously asking if you need to be airborne qualified to do a foreign wings jump?

Well if I'm honest, there is ways to get foreign wings with having gone to ABN school. There are organizations that offer there own residence course to take that then allow you to jump and get them

I’m pretty sure if the foreign wings jump is hosted by the US Army, you have to be on hazardous duty orders which you can only be eligible with a) being on jump status and b.) airborne qualified.

I’m not aware of any civilian organizations running foreign wings jumps that produce army orders to wear foreign wings.

This is my non JM opinion, but without being airborne qualified the chances of your unit willingly sending you somewhere for airborne related stuff is very very low.

Otherwise wait till toy drop in December and hope you can get a slot.

There is many ways. There’s parachute organizations in North Carolina, Czech Republic, Ohio, and Florida that I’ve been to without being airborne qualified. They do their own jump course. They do bring in genuine jumpmasters from other nations. I got the certs and got them uploaded. Again, I can’t wear them yet but they’re fun to look at. But it’s on your own dollar. There’s zero chance your unit will put you on orders for that.

Then do those weird organizations ways lol there is no way to do that in the US army. I have 2 sets of foreign wings. Absolutely never heard of that before, and I wad in a SFG lol so if that was a thing someone would have chatted bout it.

I have seen these organizations you’re talking about. I thought it would be funny too, to have foreign wings without airborne wings. I believe in the regulations it states in order to wear foreign jump wings you have to have completed airborne school.

You have to jump with a foreign ally to get foreign jump wings, and you have to be airborne qualified to jump with a foreign ally.

Of course I guess you could through a whole foreign jump training program, like their version of jump school, but I’ve never seen or heard of anyone doing so in 24 years of service.

I think there's a European parachutist organization of some kind that jumps in Estonia.

There is no way to get on a foreign jump without having gone to airborne school in the US army lol. And for foreign wings, Benning, Bragg, or maybe Campbell in December. I dont know how much the 82nd gets a foreign JM to come through but when I was in Group we had partners come through routinely. I have German and Estonian wings.

all jumps require a manifest. if you're jumping outside of your unit a MFR from your air nco is usually required to give to host unit verifying your status before they'll add you to manifest. you under no circumstances need to attempt to jump without attending US ARMY AIRBORNE SCHOOL. whatever else you've heard or saw is fucking wrong and risks everyone else's lives on the bird.

this is the most leg shit ive ever heard.

source: not a leg.

Not sure your funding situation but the Nigerian Airborne seems to be pretty lenient on letting people get in on Airborne chalks. Ie they prob have no issue with you not being airborne qualified. Will be a cool story to have foreign jump wings without being airborne qualified. I mean at the end of the day it’s just about falling out of a plane 🙌🏼

Assuming that this is an April Fools shitpost,

Any DOD sponsored foreign wing jump will require you to have been to the basic airborne course and be in a PPP and/or have current HDOs.

If you want to pay $500 for Mad Ivan’s jump with real foreign jump masters out of a DC-3 that is entirely your business but I don’t know of anyone who will endorse adding that foreign jump cert to iperms via that method.
