Syracuse, N.Y. —Syracuse women’s basketball guard Shy Hawkins has entered her name into the NCAA transfer portal.
Hawkins announced her intention to move on from Coach Felisha Legette-Jack’s squad with a social media post on Friday.
Hawkins played in 32 games for Syracuse during the 2025-26 season, starting in 17 of them.
She averaged 5.4 points and 2.2 rebounds per game.
Hawkins has two years of eligibility remaining.
“Syracuse has truly become a special place in my life,” Hawkins wrote on Instagram. “I want to sincerely thank my coaches for pushing me and helping me grow as both a player and a person.”
Hawkins becomes the fourth Orange player to enter the transfer portal.
Syracuse women’s basketball guard Sophie Burrows announced plans to seek a transfer for her final season, she said Wednesday.
Maddy Potts, a reserve guard who averaged 9.8 minutes per game over the past two seasons, also announced on social media this week that she intends to transfer at the end of the school year.
Earlier this week, freshman forward Justus Fitzgerald said she would seek a transfer.
Women’s basketball players can formally submit their names into the NCAA transfer portal April 6 through April 20.
