Wow! That is Awesome! I remember back when her appendix broke and she was in her 80’s and I thought she was Amazing then. Used to love to sit with her at SDC and learn and sing verses to tunes that I had never heard before.

Great picture of Violet. I believe that Paul Martin Adams was also very good fiddler. Would Violet know if he had one of her fiddles? His mother was Isabella Brumley, usually called Little Granny, I believe. His family lived around Stratford, Oklahoma when he was young but later moved to California. I would imagine that Violet no longer makes fiddles, but I would like to chase one down for our cousin, Lolli Jones, if possible.

Wow, Violet looks so good! I remember during the '80s and early '90s when our band the Allen Street String Band played every year at the music festival at Silver Dollar City, and we always hung around with Violet and listened to her wonderful playing!! Thanks for posting a recent photo.
