「パスキー」導入による利便性とセキュリティの向上

「パスキー」は、従来のパスワード認証に代わる次世代の認証技術です。
お使いのスマートフォンやパソコンに登録された指紋や顔といった生体情報（またはPINコード、パターンなど） を使ってログインを行うため、パスワードの入力が不要となります。

「パスキー」の主な利点：
・強固なセキュリティ： パスワードの漏洩やフィッシング詐欺への耐性が飛躍的に向上します。
・簡便な操作性：一度設定すれば複雑なパスワードを記憶・入力する手間が不要となり、よりスムーズなログインが可能となります。

「パスキー」を設定すると、高いセキュリティを求められる特定のサービスにおいて、パスワード認証ではなく、より安全なパスキー認証のみが利用可能となり、安心してご利用いただけるようになります。
現在、「パスキー」を利用できるのは一部のサービスとなりますが、2026年1月以降、順次対応するサービスを拡大してまいります。なお、「パスキー」は、対応するサービスからのみ設定できます。

「メールアドレスによる二要素認証」で、安心をプラス

非常に強固な認証方法である「パスキー」に加えて、「メールアドレスによる二要素認証」もお客様のアカウントを守る有効な方法となります。一度設定するとログイン時にご登録のメールアドレスに届く認証コードの入力が必要となり、万が一パスワードを第三者に知られてしまっても不正ログインを防ぐことができます。

現在、「メールアドレスによる二要素認証」を利用できるのは一部のサービスとなりますが、今後、順次対応するサービスを拡大してまいります。

【重要】アカウント情報更新時の二要素認証導入と登録メールアドレスに関するお願い 

お客様のアカウントの安全性を一層高めるため、2026年2月より、メール認証が完了しているお客様が楽天IDに登録されたユーザID、パスワード、メールアドレスを更新される際には、二要素認証が必須となりました。

なお、スマホの機種変更や通信会社の変更などに伴い、楽天IDにご登録のメールアドレスが使えなくなるケースが増加しております。
ご登録のメールアドレスがご利用いただけない場合、お客様ご自身で情報の更新ができなくなりますので、メールアドレスがご利用いただけなくなる前に、フリーメールアドレスなど、別の受信できるメールアドレスを楽天IDにご登録いただくよう、お願いいたします。

登録メールアドレスの変更に関する注意事項

 

「メール認証」完了のお願い

お客様のアカウントを確実に保護するためには、メールアドレスが楽天IDを利用しているご本人のものであることを確認する「メール認証」の完了が不可欠となります。

まだ「メール認証」がお済みでないお客様におかれましては、ご登録のメールアドレスが受信可能なものであることをご確認の上、速やかに「メール認証」を完了していただきますようお願い申し上げます。
「メール認証」を完了いただくことで、お客様のアカウント保護が強化され、より安心して楽天の各サービスをご利用いただけます。
「メール認証」は、サービスへのログイン時の他、楽天会員情報の管理画面の 「アカウントとセキュリティ」メニューから行っていただくことができます。

楽天会員規約の一部改定について（2025年12月実施）

この度の認証方法の導入・拡大に伴い、  楽天会員規約の一部を改定いたしました。

具体的には、第3条（IDおよびパスワードの管理）において、IDおよびパスワードの組合せによる認証に加え、パスキー認証その他の認証方法を追加いたしました。

Enhanced convenience and security with the introduction of passkeys

The passkey procedure is a next-generation authentication technology that replaces traditional password authentication. This allows you to sign in using biometric information (fingerprints or facial recognition) or a PIN code or a pattern previously registered on your device. Therefore, you will no longer need to enter a password.

Key benefits of the passkeys:
・Robust security: Passkeys will dramatically improve resistance to password leaks and phishing scams.
・Easy-to-use: Once passkeys are registered, there is no need to remember or enter a complex password, which makes for a smoother login experience.

For services requiring higher security, registering passkeys will switch your authentication to the more secure passkey method, making it the exclusive option and improving your safety.
Currently, passkeys are only available for a limited number of services, but Rakuten Group will gradually expand the range of services that support passkeys from January 2026 onward. Please note that passkeys can only be registered for the available services.

More secure using two-factor authentication with email address

In addition to the very secure authentication method of using passkeys, two-factor authentication with email address is also an effective way to protect your accounts. After registering a passkey, you will need to enter the verification code sent to the registered email address in order to sign in, which helps prevent unauthorized access even if the password is discovered by a third party.
Currently, two-factor authentication with email address is only available for a limited number of services, but Rakuten Group will gradually expand the range of services that support it.

[Important] Introduction of two-factor authentication when updating account information (from around January 2026)

In order to strengthen the protection of your account, starting around January 2026, two-factor authentication will be required in case you meet any of the following conditions and update your user ID, password, or email address registered to the Rakuten ID.
Customers who have already registered a passkey
Customers who have already registered two-factor authentication with email address
Customers who have completed email verification

 

Set up Email Verification

To enhance the protection of your Rakuten account, you must complete your “Email Verification” process to confirm that your email address being used with your Rakuten ID belongs to you.
Customers who have not yet completed “Email Verification” are kindly requested to complete it as soon as possible.
By completing “Email Verification,” your account protection will be further enhanced. You will use Rakuten services more safely.
You can access “Email Verification” when you sign in to the service or from the Account & Security menu in My Rakuten Account Management.

Partial revision of the Rakuten Membership Rules (in December 2025)

With the introduction and expansion of these authentication methods, Rakuten Group, Inc. will revise part of the Rakuten Membership Rules.
Specifically, in Article 3 (Managing Your User ID and Password), we will be adding passkey authentication and other authentication methods, in addition to the authentication based on a combination of ID and password.
This revision is intended to provide customers with safer services. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
