Disallowed content types#
The following types of content are not allowed to be shared on pixeldrain. They will be removed when reported.
Violating these rules will result in your account and IP address being banned from uploading to pixeldrain.
If you have found content on pixeldrain which falls in any of the categories below, you should report it to us so we can review the material. See Reporting abuse for instructions on how to report abusive material. Please state clearly in which category the content falls, the literal name of the category needs to be present in the e-mail message. And don’t forget to include a link to the content itself.
Copyright abuse#
Works which are shared without permission from the copyright holder. For copyright reports we need a formal copyright infringement notice originating from the copyright holder or a representative. See the chapter E-Mail reporting. When sending a copyright infringement notice to our abuse address, please state clearly that it is a copyright infringement notice so that we can properly detect the type of report. Using words like “theft” or “stolen” won’t be detected because they are too vague.
Child abusive material#
This category includes:
- Media which shows nude children, inappropriate touching of children or physical harm to children.
- Pornographic media which contains children.
- Media which encourages sexual exploitation of children.
- Media which depicts sexual communication with children.
- Text posts promoting the sale or distribution of child abusive material.
Definitions:
- A child is defined as a person under the age of 18 years.
- Media is defined as images, videos, audio and documents which contain audiovisual information.
We use automated scanning to search for child abusive material on the site. When a match is found, the account which uploaded the files is marked for human review.
Users uploading this type of content will receive a 10 year account and IP address ban.
Zoophilia#
Videos, images or audio depicting abuse or inappropriate touching of animals. See the definition on Wikipedia for more details.
Terroristic propaganda#
Videos, images or audio fragments which promote and glorify acts of terrorism. This category is only for material which promotes terrorism. Material which shows terrorism (torture, murder) should be reported under the gore category.
Gore#
Graphic and shocking videos or images depicting severe harm to humans or animals. See the definition on Wikipedia for more details.
Malware and computer viruses#
Software programs designed to cause harm to computer systems. Please attach some proof that the file actually contains malware, like a VirusTotal scan result. If no proof is provided then we will assume the report is invalid.
Doxing#
Publishing private information about individuals or organisations. This includes publicly sharing address information, ID scans or login credentials which are not supposed to be public. Please read about what doxing really means before filing a report in this category. If the file is content that you produce and sell, then it does not fall under the doxing category. In that case you should file a copyright claim.
Revenge porn#
The distribution of (non-commercial) sexually explicit images, videos or documents of individuals without their consent. See the definition on Wikipedia for more details.
This category does not apply for material which is sold online for money. Material sold on platforms like OnlyFans and Privacy.com.br are not revenge porn because they are published and sold by the author themselves. By doing this they have explicitly consented to the publication of the material. In this case you should file a copyright claim, see Copyright abuse. If you submit an invalid report in this category you will not receive a response.
How account bans work#
When a TOS violation is reported, and the report has been accepted, both the IP address and the account of the uploader will be banned from uploading files. Even when your IP address or account has been banned you can still download files from pixeldrain. IP and account bans only apply to uploading new files.
When your account is banned, you are not eligible for a refund of your subscription. The money you paid will be used as compensation for the administrational burden you have caused us by violating the terms of service.
The duration of the account/IP ban depends on the type of the violation. Currently these durations are as follows:
- Child abuse: 10 years
- Terrorism: 1 year
- Copyright / DMCA: 1 week
- All other types: 1 month
Usage of Tor and VPNs#
Due to the enormous quantities of abusing material originating from the Tor network, we have decided to stop accepting file uploads from the Tor network since 2026-02-18. If you visit pixeldrain’s upload page you will see a warning message stating that your IP address has been banned.
Usage of VPNs is allowed, but keep in mind that we do not have exceptions for VPN IP addresses. If the IP address of your VPN has been banned, you will not be able to upload files.
