Better picture for your article?
Hey Liz. I was just wondering if perhaps you'd like to donate a better picture for your article? The current one seems to be a screenshot from a presentation you gave back in November 2020, and is kinda fuzzy and overexposed. If you do want to, the image would need to be licensed under a CC BY-SA, which I believe you can do at upload time over on Wikimedia Commons. If you do want to upload an image, feel free to ping me here or the talk page and I'd be more than happy to update the article for you once the image is uploaded. If you don't want to do this, no worries, just thought I'd ask :) Sideswipe9th (talk) 02:07, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hi, the thought is appreciated, but I don't want to grant BY-SA rights to an image that could then be used by others under BY-SA to harass me :( right now it turns out to be quite useful to DMCA down images on Twitter of unauthorised photos of my face accompanied by slurs, etc. Lizthegrey (talk) 02:19, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
- No worries. I know from our interactions on Twitter some of the folks who are harassing you, and I hadn't even considered that BY-SA would enable further harassment. Hope you're doing OK otherwise :) Sideswipe9th (talk) 02:24, 21 September 2022 (UTC)
- I hold the copyright to my new bio headshot and would be willing to grant a non-free promotional / withpermission licence to the Wikimedia Foundation promising to view use of the image on English Wikipedia as non-infringing. However, there is already as you note a still of a Creative Commons video that exists from 7 years ago, so I defer to the Wikimedia copyright policy experts as to what you would like to do. I don't believe there is a Freely licenced image of me that's more recent than that. lizthegrey (talk) 02:12, 22 February 2026 (UTC)

Thanks!
A sincere thanks for going out of your way to always explicitly point out your COI, in edit summaries and especially in discussions. I (and hopefully others also) really appreciate that, Thanks!!!! ---Avatar317(talk) 22:32, 19 May 2023 (UTC)

I just want to state that I appreciate your participation in the various discussions at Talk:Kiwi Farms over the years. For years, I have been very reluctant to directly engage with content about that individual, precisely because of the BLP issues that come naturally with being the target of such sustained, intense long-term harassment (along with, on a personal basis, my own anxieties about the culture that surrounds that whole campaign, per my identity as a queer person), so to see a fellow editor who is willing to stand up and point out that this is harassment and outing simple and plain -- as opposed to mere "documentation" or however the people on these sites want to whitewash and legitimize it -- is very encouraging for people like me, who may also be worried to even touch this topic area out of fear of being similarly harassed or outed by those who engage in these campaigns (especially those who, like me, are LGBTQ). Thank you for your contributions, they are highly appreciated. JeffSpaceman (talk) 12:35, 7 December 2025 (UTC)
