For the Summer Games, athletes representing Andorra first competed at the Games of the XXI Olympiad Montreal 1976, taking part in the sports of boxing and shooting. For the Winter Games, athletes representing Andorra first competed at the XII Olympic Games Innsbruck 1976, taking part in the discipline of alpine skiing. No athletes representing Andorra has yet won an Olympic Games medal of any colour.

Andorra sent five athletes to Beijing 2022, including a male and a female in both Alpine skiing and cross-country skiing. In Beijing, Maeva Estevez became the first female to represent Andorra in snowboarding at a Winter Games. The NOC's best performance at any Winter Games was Alpine skier Joan Verdu's ninth-place result in the men's giant slalom in Beijing.
