Strait of Hormuz... more like gay of hormuz!! The most analytical shitpost in Internet's history. My main channel is Patreon now: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

On Saturday, February 28, 2026, one of the Gulf ‘cracies is hosting a big event. Iran. Everyone’s invited. Everyone including the supreme leader of Iran, his entire family, defense secretary, chief of staff, chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and defense minister.

The United States and Israel deal with the varus the only way they know how. They strike the compound hosting the big Iranian event.

Strait of Hormuz is one of the densest sea routes and the most critical choke points in the world. And now the Strait is closed. Closing the Strait of Hormuz became the largest supply chain disruption in history.

Global oil and gas markets suddenly lost 20% of production. Gulf countries had to stop digging for oil because their storage facilities filled up.
Then all these ships that were loaded and ready to deliver the goods were left stranded in the Gulf. They became sitting ducks for the Iranian missiles and drones to pick them up one by one.

World war three will be unlike any other conflict that came before. It will be because of autonomous weapons. Weapons that can maneuver themselves, find targets on their own and make a decision to strike fully autonomously. Independent of a human pilot.

What will transform the future of warfare will be something that’s cheap to make, easy to scale and has an unlimited capacity to destroy. That’s autonomous weapons.

Today wars are won by information. Information in the form of intelligence on the battlefield, as a weapon of propaganda, and as training ground for autonomous weapons.

Your private data will play a role in this. For autonomous weapons, anything you do online and with your digital devices will be used to train more and more powerful models that pilot them. And all your private data will be kept handy for when you become a target of the enemy.

There are two systems of justice. The one I call transactional justice and the other punitive justice.

The transactional justice systems serves the interest of the elite class. It’s whenever you hear a household name corporation settling a lawsuit for what a regular person would face significant prison time.

For example, in its defense against illegal monopoly charges, Apple literally lied in court and tried to hide evidence from the judge. Anyone else would be criminally charged for lying under oath. But not anyone at Apple ever will because Tim Cook is the best buddies with President of the United States Donald Trump, literally gifting him golden plaques live on national television.

But then there is punitive justice. The kind for the rest of us who can’t afford to donate $1 million to the president. This kind of justice happens when you have two software developers creating a privacy tool for regular people that also happens to be used by a small portion of bad individuals. It doesn’t matter that it was less than 10% of the total userbase. It doesn’t matter that the software developers were not aware they were breaking the law until they had their homes raided by dozens of armed enforcers. [10] What matters is that they were too small to play the big game. They had nothing to offer behind the closed doors. So they faced the full might of the punitive justice system.

Did we just send two innocent men to prison? One of them possibly for life due to their age?

Proton is good. But also too big. Support my independent work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone
Ecosystem is a trap. It lures you in with the promise of convenience, only to lock you inside a walled garden. Like Google and Apple. They start with a good product, but then force you to use the whole suite to get the full experience. This is dangerous.

Ecosystems are concentrating all of your data and your digital life in the hands of a single entity. An entity that grows so large and powerful that it will start making compromises against your rights only to find more ways to profit or protect their business. The larger the ecosystem, the bigger data harvester it becomes. It becomes a bigger target for hackers and the more products it offers the more data it has to give to the surveillance state.

We know that the big tech does this, because their only moral value is the shareholder value. [4]
But when a private company starts quacking like a duck in the steps of the big tech, it should worry us the same way. That company is Proton. The maker of the most renowned privacy products that have always been meant as ethical alternatives to the big tech.

Today, Proton resembles more and more the ecosystems of Google and Apple than it does its noble origins of fighting the big tech. This is a problem. It’s a problem for your privacy and it’s a problem for the whole community. But you probably never of heard of this perspective, because none of this is talked about enough. There is a reason for this.

You see, most content on Proton you’ll find, is coming from sources that are sponsored or affiliated with Proton. And I know how lucrative Proton’s deals are, because Proton even tried to pay me. Of course, I refused their offer, because taking their money would incentivize me not to recommend against Proton products. I am uniquely positioned to give you a nuanced critique of Proton and how to solve this problem.

If you haven’t noticed, I have never taken a single sponsorship deal on my channel. And it's not for lack of offers. Since I started this channel in 2016, I've been messsaged by all kinds of companies, offering me money to shill for them for a minute or put their link in the description box. Most of these companies were offering dubious VPNs, cryptos or weird products. But a few of these were genuine privacy projects that I know, use and respect. Like Safing which makes the Portmaster firewall, or Quant privacy search engine.

Most recently, I have been approached by Proton. The company behind ProtonMail that is now the biggest privacy competitor to Google's ecosystem. I was delighted at first, that Proton found my work appealing to them as they told me. I wanted to say no to their offer outright but I didn't just want to shut them down. I was curious. I wanted to know more. But then, things got really weird. And it all ended more strangely than anyhting I could've expected. And I think this is something you should know about. So I am going to show you exactly what happened. And I am going to be leaking the messages between me and a Proton representative.

Since I am a channel that makes all kinds of content on privacy and surveillance, this is something you should absolutely know about. And what you are about to see will give you a peak behind close door deals between your favorite YouTube creators and their sponsors.

Proton is a company whose products I've been using since its inception. I actually signed up for ProtonMail all the way back when it started and you had to get to a waiting list before you could open up an account. The reason for this was that Proton was one of the first email providers with user-friendly end-to-end encryption. It came out after Edward Snowden ..

How exactly will AI steal your job? And what will it look like when unemployment skyrockets?
If you don't support me, I will have to stop making videos: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

AI is hyped. It is hyped to be able to do all of our tasks much more efficiently than most humans could, very rapidly erasing the need for human labor. The collateral damage? The entirety of the working class. The mass layoffs across the tech sector serve to prove this point. The labor cuts are no longer counted in numbers, but in percentages.

If this is truly a systemic trend, then the mass increase in unemployment is irreversible. AI will wipe out the working class as a whole. If that happens, tens of millions of people will be left without income. Income they’d need to buy goods, services and assets. The prices of assets will fall because the retail won’t have the money to spend on them. Profits will fall, leading to the stock market crash, pulverizing incomes and net worth of millions. The economy as we’ve known it for decades will be destroyed.

Tyler Robinson, the suspect of the Charlie Kirk's assassination, almost got away with it all. This is how the FBI really caught him. Support my independent work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

The FBI is telling you that the manhunt for the suspect of Charlie Kirk's assassination was a result of a historic investigation with the use of the most advanced intelligence techniques available to law enforcement.

But the reality will tell you a different story. A story that is now very well reported and reveals how the suspect was actually caught. In what's about to follow, I'll explain to you every detail of the surveillance and intelligence behind the manhunt for Tyler Robinson, the alleged shooter at Utah Valley.
In reality, it is not clear whether anything the FBI did actually helped track down the suspect.

The most damning admission of this fact is that after a full day of endless investigation, full 24 hours after Charlie Kirk was shot, the FBI, Kash Patel and local law enforcement were so confused they had “no idea where” the suspect was and they weren’t even sure whether he still was in Utah or not.

By the time the police did finally catch Tyler Robinson, he was so far away from the scene of the shooting that had he simply kept running, he probably would’ve gone away with it. He was arrested 250 miles away, in his parental home in St. George, Utah, whole 33 hours after the shooting.

Sad what happened to Charlie, even sadder what's happening after... support my work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

The assassination of Charlie Kirk has now officially became the “shock doctrine” event. It’s a shocking event that is used to justify new authoritarian tendencies while seeking vengeance and justice. This time it is not just the political elites seeking to consolidate their power and abuse the constitution. It is the regular people rallying round the flag to avenge Charlie’s murder. Literally.

They created this website called “Charlie’s Murderers”. The website invites you to look up the names of people supposedly supporting political violence. And it just keeps scrolling forever, giving you names of people you’ve never heard of. Because these aren’t public personalities but rather private individuals expressing themselves on social media about their feelings on Charlie’s death and legacy.

Some of these people listed here hold genuinely disgusting views, celebrating the violent act, even condoning it in various innuendos. They all contain full names, employer information, screenshots of social media profiles and accounts, location information and “other identifying information”. It’s a terrifying website. Especially now that it claims to hold over 50,000 profiles that they are assembling into a searchable public database.

The website is entirely crowdsourced – meaning anyone can submit information, and if it contains full identities, it will be published. The goal is to get all of these people fired from their jobs so that they face societal consequences for their legally protected speech. The author’s intention is clear – if there is a name on this website, it means they participated in political violence. It’s called Charlie’s Murderers – so everyone here is complicit and deserves to be doxxed so that they are harassed by online mobs and fired from their jobs.

But I am going to show you that this website does a terrible job at vetting..

A surveillance state that captures everything. Support my work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

There is a newly emerging industry called “whole-body” biometrics. Surveillance technologies that go beyond anything remotely imagined by sci-fi scenarios and dystopian fantasies. It is currently the primary focus of research funded by the Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activty (IARPA) – a US government body.

IARPA aims to develop the ultimate surveillance tool – one that can combine all key biometric markers into one comprehensive surveillance AI. The research is lead by a team at the Michigan State University and the tool they are creating is called FarSight.

FarSight combines three biometric markers – gait, body and face – into a traceable profile to be matched to known individuals or to identify new matches. Gait and face recognition are not new – they are long-know methods of identifying subjects based on their stride and face. What is new is FarSight’s body recognition – a sort of 3D reconstruction of a subject’s body, that is effectively undressing them to generate an accurate model of their anatomy.

The government is dying to deploy surveillance tech like FarSight and the big tech will gladly provide a helping hand while securing those government contracts. The most devastating part of this trajectory, is that you have been unwittingly feeding the explosive growth of totalitarian surveillance by serving it your precious personal data on a silver platter.

Age verification mandates will usher a new age of authoritarianism the likes of which has never before been possible.
Support my sponsor-free, independent work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

En masse Internet ID verification is hurling towards us with the speed and force of a planet killing asteroid. The impact will annihilate the open web as we know it and mandate an absolute authoritarian state where not only are you always under surveillance – but you’ll always have to seek permission to access an ever expanding list of forbidden media.

The “I have nothing to hide” crowd is telling you “don’t look up!”, “there is nothing to see here”, “this is all for your safety and the good of the children”. So when we say: “no, this is a problem, this is authoritarian”, it’s us who are framed as the bad guys for wanting to protect our privacy and freedom of information. Under the guise of protecting children, “the nothing to hide”-ers will now make it so that anytime you want to read a book, listen to a song, watch a movie or play a video game, they will create a permanent record of who accessed exactly what and when for an indefinite amount of time in databases outside of your control.

They’ll tell you that’s not what this is for, but they also used to tell us mass surveillance was only to fight terrorism and nothing else. Oh, how the goalpost has moved in only two decades.

Ghislaine Maxwell cannot be trusted. Support my work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

Ghislaine Maxwell is doing everything she can to end and escape her punishment. But you must not believe her. Maxwell was the right-hand woman of Jeffrey Epstein to whom she was a girlfriend as well as a top manager of Epstein’s clandestine trafficking operation.

Now Maxwell is begging the Supreme Court, the Congress as well as the President of the United States to get her conviction overturned, get clemency or an outright pardon.

This would be a disastrous blow to the criminal justice system as well as a major disservice to the dozens of victims Maxwell was found guilty of abusing along with Epstein.

But the worst part of this is that some conservative commentators are now claiming that Maxwell might be trusted to tell the truth and they are regurgitating her new line of defense – that she wasn’t a co-conspirator in Epstein’s criminal enterprise – but that she was his victim. [

Support me if you are not an AI: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone
There is no other way to say this. AI on your phone is a catastrophe. Forget the idea of an embarrassingly inaccurate chatbot. That idea has xenomorphed into an all-powerful assistant that scans your every app and every website and completes tasks on your behalf. This exposes all of us to the biggest privacy and security risks that we have ever seen.

The content of everything you do on your AI-enabled phone is at risk. If you chat with someone who has an AI-powered phone, you could be equally exposed. No one is safe from this. But I have a solution. Because I want to inform you about the dangers of trusting the big tech with anything and I also I want you to protect yourself. Don’t worry, there is no sponsored BS here. Only true genuine advice to the best of my ability. I can only do this if you support me directly.

WhatsApp is now officially running targeted ads. And I am urging you to leave it before it gets worse. Because it will go downhill from here very fast.

When he first bought WhatsApp for $22 billion, he promised that the app would never run ads. That was a lie. A lie that took years to manifest, but it’s finally here. But the lie doesn’t just end there. Zuckerberg is still lying directly in the statement about how they will be running ads inside WhatsApp. These are supposed to be “ads built with privacy in mind”. No, they are not. For now, the ads will be targeted based on your country, city, language, your channels and ad interactions.

Which on its own is a uniquely profiled set of data. But this is a boiling the frog moment. Because everything inside WhatsApp is prepared to take that next step further when quarterly earnings call for it. All the technology to use your WhatsApp data, including your phone number and personally identifiable information, is ready to be linked to your shadow advertising profile Zuckerberg secretly keeps on everybody whether they like it or not.

Why do you think Facebook acquired WhatsApp for $22 billion? To get to the phone books of 1.5 billion people around the world. In WhatsApp, phone number registration is mandatory, you can’t avoid giving Zuckerberg your phone number to use it. How long do you think Meta will exercise restraint and not move the goalpost to use your WhatsApp number for advertising? Especially after of years of repeatedly lying about using phone numbers for ads?
Don’t be duped again. WhatsApp absolutely cannot be trusted.

Not just any VPN. But the one that can defend you against traffic analysis. Only few can. Support me: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

I’ve been using virtual private networks ever since I started my privacy journey when Edward Snowden leaked the NSA surveillance files. The reason to use a VPN was immediately clear: the global network of intelligence agencies is spying on our phone records and Internet histories.

And they aren’t doing it by clandestine hacking operations – they get the data directly from Internet companies who collaborate with the surveillance state willingly.

It was necessary to prevent Internet companies from having immediate access to all of our records. And in a limited sense, VPNs worked. For a while.

But from the moment I started using VPNs, I realized they actually have a major flaw – a flaw that makes them not private at all. Not to mention anonymous. What’s the flaw? It’s not just a flaw. It’s an outright lie.
What the VPN companies are selling you in sponsored YouTube segments is a complete fabrication. They are making you believe that when you use a VPN you hide your traffic from the prying eyes. But you are not hiding your traffic from anyone. The VPN company sees your full traffic. And it’s impossible for them to not see it. They know who you are because they always know your IP address and they know every website you go to because they are routing your traffic for you.

Despite all of my critiques against VPNs, I never actually stopped using them. In many of my videos I actually recommend VPNs for online privacy. That sounds like I am contradicting myself and I am not even paid to do it. What is going on? Am I stupid?

Well, yes, I am. But I am also right and I know how to research and I do it better than anyone else on this scene. You will never find more deeply researched and better sourced videos on these topics than mine. I don’t just throw random links. I cross-reference and annotated everything I talk about to tripl..

Apple lied in court, Apple could face criminal prosecution and top executives could face jail. Support my work on: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

Apple has just lost a major lawsuit and the outcome of it reveals the deepest levels of corruption and obstruction in the history of big tech. Many companies are facing similar lawsuits in the US and other countries but with Apple, things are much worse and way darker. People could realistically go to jail over this and Apple as a company could be held criminally liable. I’ve never seen this happen in any other big tech company and it’s that much more confusing to me that nobody is talking about this.

Apple stepped over the line in their defense. In fact, this implicates the very top of Apple’s management. All the way up to Tim Cook himself. In 2021, Apple was ordered to allow developers to communicate to their customers better pricing and purchasing options outside of Apple. What the Court wanted Apple to do, was to remove barriers and stop discouraging users and developers from using a third-party payment option. But that’s not how Apple decided to comply with the order.

In this essay, I want to argue that you should not feel sorry for pirating from a media conglomerate, or a big tech streaming service, or a giant game publisher. And not only should you not feel sorry, you should feel proud to do it. Even if piracy is illegal, it as an act of rebellion so important doing it is your moral and civil duty.

I want to reveal to you that copyright is not about protection of authors and artists. That used to be its original idea in the 18th century but today, copyright serves a much greater agenda at the behest of giant publishing corporations. What is that agenda? And how does copyright harm your ability to own anything at all? And should you always feel good about pirating? I’ll answer all of this and provide my long term solutions to this problem that I think you’ll want to hear.

This is a topic that will get this video suppressed by YouTube so if you want to hear even more of my analysis that didn’t make it into this essay, join my Patreon.com/thehatedone and access my podcast where I do exactly that. I cover all the topics on my channel and many more in much more detail than I can do here. Without your support, this channel cannot exist.

“If buying isn’t owning, piracy isn’t stealing” is a meme that undersells the reality. In truth, piracy wouldn't be stealing even if buying were owning.

Almost everywhere you go except for the law itself, piracy will be defined to you as theft. But that’s a lie. Piracy is not theft and it will never ever be theft.

Theft is a zero-sum game – you steal from someone and they no longer have it.

Piracy is not that. When you pirate, you copy an idea, but the author still has their original. You didn’t steal anything and you couldn’t be charged with theft. You committed a copyright infringement which is illegal and you could be charged with that if caught. But even the copyright..

This is not a sensational clickbait headline. I genuinely believe that if we held Zucc to the same standards we are held to, he’d be jailed for life. And I think by the end of this video, and trust me you are going to want to watch all of it, you’ll be convinced of the veracity of my opinion. I will start from the most recent case, but this will get way worse very quickly. Like literal crimes against humanity levels of bad.

As you may know, Mark Zuckerberg was caught full red-handed in a major conspiracy to pirate copyrighted books and articles from illegal libraries. For those who don’t know, court documents filed by authors suing Meta reveal that Zucc’s company pirated 81.7 terabytes of data across multiple shadow libraries through Anna’s Archive. That’s on top of previously having pirated 80.6 terabytes from LibGen, a very popular piracy website for literary works.

Now torrenting is particularly bad, because in case you don’t know, when you torrent, you aren’t just downloading a file from some website. You are actually connecting to someone’s computer somewhere in the world, multiple such computers in fact, who are publicly uploading, or seeding, that content directly to you.

The United Kingdom is debilitating. By every metric, the country is losing its economic prestige, its people are becoming poorer and infrastructure dilapidated.

And while the British people are rightfully angry at their political leadership responsible for the state of their country, few are aware of another, much deeper problem with their government. That the UK elites are transforming the nation into a totalitarian state. British politicians consistently ignore the needs of the people, and hyperfocus on giving themselves more authority and more power. They are submitting every person living in the UK to a total surveillance state far greater than any other democracy in the world, rivaling even the most authoritarian regimes like China or Russia.

A lot of fellow YouTube channels have covered the disastrous downfall of the UK economy. And I want to contribute to that pipeline of doom but with a spin of my own because I see a different kind of decline. A decline in personal liberty, civil rights and human dignity in favor of absolute centralization of political power within the UK’s establishment.

This story begins with a secret order issued sometime in January 2025 when the UK government sent a request to Apple to build an open back door access to all encrypted content of any Apple user anywhere in the world. In that request, Apple must give the UK government the ability to bypass Advanced Data Protection feature, which allows Apple users to use end-to-end encryption for their iCloud backups.

Sam Altman's goal is to hoard AI technology for himself he will not stop until OpenAI is an absolute monopoly.

OpenAI doesn’t yet have that monopoly. It’s biggest enemy is not Google but open source AI. Today, thanks to Meta’s Llama models, DeepSeek, Mistral and many other projects, there is plenty of open source AI out there that’s just capable. Sam Altman wants to stop it and he will fear monger about them. He is already doing it to DeepSeek. But don’t let him make that decision for you. Use open source AI. If you can run it locally on your device, do it. If you can’t, running it in the cloud is still more beneficial in the long run, even though it’s not private.

DeepSeek AI has a secret agenda that may give China an AI hegemony.

DeepSeek AI is an AI with an agenda. This doesn’t just put China at the top spot in AI research. It permanently dethrones US status as a tech leader which will now have to share that status with at least one if not many more countries capable of replicating what China did with DeepSeek. If what DeepSeek says about its research and engineering is true.

Because many industry experts looking at their research and results initially thought that somehow DeepSeek must have cheated. That either they used a lot more GPUs or used Nvidia H100 chips which they weren’t supposed have due to US-imposed barriers. It’s also possible that all of this is one big Chinese government propaganda to undermine American tech industry. Or maybe DeepSeek took one of Meta’s open source models and just put their own skin on it.

DeepSeek may also sound bold but at least we can test them. And that’s why DeepSeek claims about its results and costs are at least mostly true. And mostly true is good enough to totally deligitimize the big tech’s multi-billion-dollar spending on AI.

But DeepSeek is more than just an AI. It’s an agenda. Its job is much more than just to compete with American AI companies. Why would they just give away all of their tech, research and methodology as open source? They are literally giving US big tech the ability to build on top of them. So what does China really want to achieve here?

This is not something that was officially stated in public, but DeepSeek is on track to dominate AI research not in house, but globally. And it’s precisely because it went open source. Because it’s the only openly available model that is just as powerful as proprietary ones, research teams, AI companies and engineers around the world will now flock to use DeepSeek AI and build more tools o..

I am going to show how all involved parties are intentionally misleading you to advance their own agenda at your expense. And I also know what the ultimate solution to all the problems surrounding TikTok is.

The US government’s argument is that TikTok is a hostile app that is controlled by the Chinese government and used to conduct covert operations inside the United States.

They argue that the People’s Republic of China conducts mass surveillance on US citizens and that it then uses the data it collects to track dissidents, surveil journalists, recruit intelligence operatives, develop spies and blackmail assets.

TikTok’s defense is that the US is violating its free speech and first amendment which is why the case made it all the way to the Supreme court. What is TikTok’s speech here? Good question. The algorithm is the speech. Not the content of users, not the content of TikTok itself – it’s the algorithm, the code, the bunch of letters, numbers and special characters that a computer can read, is literally TikTok’s speech.

But let’s leave all the fun and giggles aside for a moment to really look what the government is actually saying about TikTok here. Because government employees in the US and many allied countries are already banned from using TikTok on their phones. The message that this is saying is far more profound than you would think if you didn’t know the implications.

What all of these government bans are assuming is that the TikTok app is potentially malicious.
Meaning – it’s actually malware, that it’s a virus designed to infect your phone. But on a modern mobile operating system, this is no easy task. If TikTok were indeed a piece of malware, it would have to bypass the entire mobile security model. On both Android and iOS, provided they are up-to-date with security patches, TikTok would have to escape the application sand..

When the US intelligence tells you anything, there's a 50-50 chance the opposite might be correct. The US government is seeking moral redemption. After decades of telling us that we should trust it with backdoors into our communications, it finally backfired spectacularly. Just as the privacy advocates have always been saying – that you can't have encryption badckoor just for the good guys.

"For months or longer", Chinese government hackers held access inside US internet service and telecommunication providers collecting all of our browser histories, phone data and much more. This of course is a major national security risk.

As any high-ranking politician, journalist or a random citizen, could be held at ransom for all the dirt the Chinese government now holds on each AT&T and Verizon customer. We'll probably see a major spike in support for Chinese policies as all the naughty secrets of key elites and individuals will be held for blackmail or it might "accidentally" leak to the press.

That's how serious this is. So now the US government is officially endorsing end-to-end encryption and private communication. But... that's a bit hyperbolic. Only one agency – the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, endorses it.

Encryption backdoor that only the "good" guys can access, does not exist. One man's backdoor is another man's vulnerability. That came out wrong. Or did it?

So CISA has issued a privacy and security tutorial for all Americans to adopt. And it contains a lot of points about which I have lots to say. I already talked about the Signal recommendation. I can talk about more if you are interested, so let me know in the comments.

But there was one recommendation that I did not expect to see. It goes against something that I've been recommending on my channel for a long time. It's about using a personal VPN, or Virtual Private Network..

When the footage of the deed first came out, it was very quick and cold. It almost looked it was done by a professional. The target is Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealth, a major health insurance company set on a path of multiple strategic mergers and acquisitions.

The images show his face in difficult lighting conditions from a very unnatural high angle in both images and smiling ear to ear in one of them. He is still wearing his hoodie, which is obfuscating a good portion of his visage, including his hairstyle, ears and neck. Despite some popular misconceptions, facial recognition AI is going to have a hard time ID’ing someone from such pics alone. It’s a very imprecise tool that is prone to error and can’t be relied upon as much as the hype would have you believe.

So to help identify him, the police publicize the images in hopes to get the public to provide more information. But not even his family or friends could recognize him from these images. Now the only hope is that there will be a crucial tip based on his profile that will lead to his arrest.

What’s more important than a suspect’s face? It is their profile. Their general height, build, skin tone, types of clothes they’re wearing, accessories, hats, glasses, bags… Similar manhunts in the past were relying on the same tactic – not advanced algorithms, but combing through every surveillance camera available and good old fashioned profiling.

In this particular instance, even though he seems to have been going for a gray man outfit, I find a couple of things that make him stand out even in New York City.

The first thing that sticks out the most is the backpack. He chose the most unique looking backpack imaginable, although I might understand a few reasons why. The bag seems to be the gray variant of PeakDesign Everyday Backpack. This is a $300 bag that is marketed primarily to influencers, photo..

Are the feds trolling my channel? Support my work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

This will be a different video than I normally make. Every now and then, something happens on my channel that is so weird I literally have to stop everything I am doing and address it. All of a sudden, my privacy videos are getting flooded with trolls commenting the same defeatist position – no matter what you do you will never have privacy. They are usually posted extremely quickly, usually within minutes of me publishing my video. They instantly become one of the top comments in each video’s comment section. They are always broad general statements on the topic without discussing or critiquing any particular point I make in my videos, conveniently hiding the fact that they have never watched my video.

If this was one of those investment scams, I would just ban these accounts as spam and move on. But these accounts aren’t promoting anyone in particular. So what is going on? My channel has always been about offering solutions. I do highlight problems, yes, but then I promote reasonable things anyone can do, such as using Signal, GrapheneOS or privacy preserving alternatives. So where is all of this trolling coming from? I think I have the answer. I think I know who this benefits and who this is targeting. So let me show you what I am talking about.

This is where I first noticed something was off – my video on the most private phone. I was hoping to start a fruitful debate on how we should evaluate what makes a phone more private than the other and I pit all popular options against each other. Instead of that being the highlight of the comment section, it’s this: “2 cups and a bit of string. Attach a 3rd string if you want a conference call.” Notice how this comment doesn’t contribute anything of substance about how I compare iPhone with Google Pixel, or stock Android with Android forks… It’s a funny comment. But it’s a defeatist comment. Because the implication suggests tha..

There are more than enough tutorials on how to run AI on your laptop, which is private but insufficient. Not everyone is gonna have the hardware to run a capable enough model on their device. You are gonna need a dedicated GPU and plenty of RAM in order to run something like a 7-billion-paramater Llama3, which is a very small model compared too GPT-4 or Gemini.
And even if you do have the hardware, sometimes these small open source models are just not capable enough. And in any case, you probably want to hop between multiple models that are gonna excel in different tasks.
So what can you do if you are in that situation?

In this private AI tutorial, I am gonna show some really cool things you can do take control of your data while using cloud based LLMs. And I am gonna teach not only how but mostly when you should hop between local and cloud-based services.

You are gonna learn what to do and what to avoid. There is so much to show you so be sure to stick till the end where I’ll share my secret methods I use to bypass all forms of identification with these online services.

What is the most private phone and what makes a phone private? That is the question... and we have answers! Please support my work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

Smartphones are ultimate spying devices. Apple is collecting your detailed usage information even if you opt out. Google is tracking your location even if you turn it off entirely. And the predatory advertising industry is gathering, selling and sharing your data with no precautions, making you fall victim to scammers, fraudsters or power-tripping cops. Of course, the big tech is getting backlash for the dystopia they are building for us.

So now they are all telling us that they take our privacy seriously and do everything they can to protect it. But how can you trust their claims? All of this is really just marketing. Is there a method that’s based on evidence that can tell us which options are actually private? Yes, that’s what we are going to do in this video. We are gonna analyze which phone on the market is currently the most private option for you.

There are myriads of phones to choose from so to keep things simpler, here’s what I decided to do: We’ll make the iPhone its own category, which will compete against Pixel phones from Google. Then all the remaining Android vendors will be grouped into one category. I am singling out Pixel here for reasons that will become clear later. Then we’ll also have to test all of these against AOSP + forks because they do offer some advantages as well as disadvantages. And among them, GrapheneOS will also be singled out due to facts that will be explained along the way.

How do we decide how private any given phone is? Well, you can ask people who have something to sell you or you can use something like a benchmark to test the phone against. Our benchmark is gonna privacy threat model called LINDDUN. LINDDUN is basically just a list of seven privacy threat categories. These threats encompass everything personal data on your phone can be exposed to. From..

SIM cards are dangerous. So I don't use them. Support my work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

I don’t actually use a SIM card. And I mean no SIM at all. No physical card, no eSIM. My methods of going about my digital life are very unconventional. This is not what regular people do. But because of my many years of privacy research and investigations, to me, it was completely normal. I understand the privacy implications of using a SIM. But to the uninitiated, not using a SIM for data and texts is out of this world.

For friends and family, I use end-to-end encrypted messaging apps – for me that’s mostly Signa and Matrix. But even the freaking Facebook Messenger is encrypted now. There is no excuse to use unencrypted communication today and cell communication should get deprecated.

For the rare instance when I need a phone number, usually for ancient services like a bank or the government, I do have a dumb phone that’s off all the time and is only on when I need to make a call or when I am expecting a text or a call. I also have a Faraday bag for when I am feeling extra cautious.

For data, well.. I don’t use data. I use public WiFi when possible and when not, I download some offline entertainment when needed for longer routes. Usually getting a WiFi is not a problem as they are ubiquitous in every city – be it a coffee shop or a shopping mall.

So this is why I don’t use a SIM and how I go about my life without it. The more people know about this the more secure we all get so share this video with those you care about in your life.

They want to break up Google into multiple companies. Will it happen? Support my work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

Google is the most popular search engine with no relevant competition. Anywhere in the world, Google Search dominates upwards of 90% of the market, making it a de facto monopoly by definition.

But Google didn’t rise to dominance by consumer choice alone. It rose to that dominance, because it was the default option on every single service and platform available. Chrome, the most popular browser by far, defaults to Google Search. Safari, the default web browser on the iPhone and the entire Apple ecosystem, ships with Google Search out of the box. Firefox, which is a popular web browser among Linux users and open source enthusiasts, is also defaulting to Google Search. Android, the most popular operating system on the planet, comes with Google Search preinstalled on almost every smart device that isn’t Apple, with with the only exception for China.

Defaults have power and that’s why Google spends dozens of billions of dollars every single year to pay other companies to set Google Search as the default at their services. And Google is willing to pay this much money, because the returns exceed costs multiple times over.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, Google spent almost $14bn to pay companies for this favor. And in those same three months, Google returned more than $48bn in revenue from Search.

It is these secret backdoor deals that had a US judge rule Google to be an illegal monopoly. When this news broke, I covered it back in August so you can watch that video for more detail.

But that was just a ruling of guilt. Now the U.S. Department of Justice seeks punishment. Until recently, we didn’t know what kind of punishment DoJ was looking for. But now we know.

MKBHD's made an app that is a privacy disaster. And it's a wallpaper app... Please support my work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

Marques Keith Brownlee is a YouTube star behind the massively popular MKBHD channel. Over the span of his 15-year-old content creator career, Marques Brownlee grew to 20 million subscribers surpassing 4 billion total views and that only vaguely illustrates the true heights of his success.

Marques started making content in 2009, when he was still in high school and in a few years, he became the face of technology videos on YouTube. In 2013, a senior vice president of Google called him “the best technology reviewer on the planet right now”. In 2019, he won “Creator of the Decade”. MKBHD’s fame was acknowledged also by his interviews with big tech CEOs as well as Kobe Bryant and Bill Gates. Marques is also a star of the Retro Tech YouTube Originals series produced by Vox Media Studios and he recently became a board member of Ridge, a super popular sponsor of YouTube channels.

His success, fame and wealth is out of this world. Especially at his young age. Marques is barely 30 now and he’s been on the top stop before he even graduated college. But it seems that not even that amount of success is enough, if you think you have a loyal audience of millions of people who will consume anything you have to sell them.

Marques Brownlee decided to embark on another endeavor to attain even more wealth by making an app. Now Marques has a degree in business and IT so you’d think his app must be a total banger. Something humble but with great value.

So what did Marques make? A wallpaper app. And not just any wallpaper app. MKBHD’s wallpaper app that is a privacy nightmare and a shameless cash grab disaster.

The revenue split between artist and the Panels app is 50/50, with the Panels cut further split in half between Brownlee and the Panels developer.

MKBHD is committed to fixing his wallpaper app, but not its $50 price tag

I have evidence that Valve’s Steam is ripping every PC gamer off. And I have evidence this is the case whether you get your games from Steam or from any other store for PC games. I’ve alluded to this in the part 1 of my investigation into Steam, where I lay out the different issues I have with Valve – including the fact that you don’t own your Steam games and Internet authentication is perpetually required or that Valve is charging insanely high cuts from all Steam sales.

But there was one thing a lot of Valve loyalists had a problem with – and that was when I said that Valve is forcing publishers to price their games and offer the same content on Steam as on other stores. Which is an obnoxiously anti-competitive behavior where Valve wants to prevent publishers from selling their games for cheaper on other stores than on Steam.

And many jumped to Valve’s defense saying that this price-parity requirement is only regarding Steam keys. And to me, that speaks volumes about how much these people care about the truth. Because I very conveniently cited all the sources that support this claim that Valve is enforcing price and content parity across all gaming stores and it’s not just about the Steam keys.

Because this lie is continuously being perpetuated by Valve and its cultists, I’ve spent the last few weeks reading through literally hundreds of pages of court documents presenting evidence for Valve’s anti-competitive behavior. Yes, I actually read and analyzed hundreds of pages of complai..

Telegram says they a private and encrypted neutral platform - but is that true?
https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

Telegram is a messaging app with one billion users and currently the only platform whose CEO got arrested. This is Pavel Durov, the founder and chief executive officer of Telegram. He currently cannot leave France and has to report to a police station twice a week. His crime? Failing to respond to judicial requests to identify a suspect of an active investigation.

This is big. Arresting a tech exec is something that never happens, no matter the reason. Durov is a Russian citizen and his Telegram has been used by dissidents around the world in pro-democracy protests. Telegram has always marketed itself as a pro-free speech and anti-censorship platform. It’s a self-proclaimed encrypted and secure messaging app. But can we honestly trust these claims? Is Telegram a genuinely secure platform for anyone to communicate safely? Or is this just another billionaire oligarch venture playing the long game where monetizing the customer is the end goal?

I want to evaluate Telegram on seven merits that should determine whether we should or shouldn’t trust it. These seven points will assess Telegram on safety, the personality of Pavel Durov, its business model, collusion with government, who it’s used by, applied security and technology. Based on my investigation and analysis, I am going give Telegram a plus point for when I think a reason warrants trust, and negative point for when I think trust should be revoked. By the end, I’ll give you a total score that will judge whether you should trust and use Telegram or not.

You should know that your chats are not private with Telegram. But if you only intend to use Telegram for its public features and you understand you are not private, go ahead.

Steam is on a path to become a monopoly. Is that a good thing for the gamer?
Support my work: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

If it's not on Steam, it might as well not exist. Even console exclusives made for PlayStation and Xbox will find themselves listed on Steam. And that's saying something. It's saying that even giant studios like Microsoft or Sony just can't pass on that cash-grab potential.

That is power. Power that belongs to Steam's maker Valve, which also has some of the most popular PC games, and makes Linux-based console SteamDeck that challenges Windows' gaming monopoly. For that, everyone loves Valve. But there is a problem. Valve's power is too great and Valve will use that power to the detriment of the whole gaming community.

I am going to prove that to you by showing you Valve's historical record and by looking at its future path. Both of which should convince you that it doesn't matter how much you may love Steam right now, Valve is not your friend.

Valve has this image of an infallible good guy, standing up to the big tech. Any criticism of Valve or Steam is met with dismissal and ridicule. Valve's fans will defend any corporate decision they make, even if it's the same they would scorch other gaming companies for making.

When you purchase games from Steam, you have to accept the terms that you will never own your games. Your purchase only grants you a temporary limited license. What's the difference and why does it matter? Well, if you own something, like a book, or a DVD with a game, the contents still belong to the copyright holder, but you get to decide what to do with the material. Like for instance, you can lend it, gift it or trade it for something else.
A Steam license gives you none of that. It's just a subscription.

This is Evil Corp. We have all these different brands under different logos and different names. But they are all the same. They are all doing the same thing. Setting and following the same trends on and on, squeezing every penny out of each of them into sterile homogenized neatly packaged products.

I know they are the same because I know why they are the same. And I am gonna tell you why they are the same. It’s my “one corporation” theory. And I also have a solution that I disclose at the end of this video.

But first, I need to show you how much anti-human the corporate tech has become. How it’s not just a one off event and a pattern that has taken a life on its own and it make turns every piece of culture into the most bland fast-food version of the original with no taste, no texture, and no soul.

It’s no coincidence that this is happening at all of these different corporations. A few years ago, they didn’t have that much in common. Amazon started with selling books. Now they are an AI company. Facebook started off as a social network. Now they are an AI company. Apple started with selling computers. Now they are an AI company. Microsoft started by selling an operating system. Now they are an AI company. Nvidia started off selling shovels to the gaming industry. Now they are selling shovels to AI companies.

Everything is converging into this one vision. Everything is becoming a one corporation. It’s my hypothesis that claims that all major corporations are driving markets into one super-conglomerate under common ownership, that will eventually consume industry after industry, until it’s all just one megacorporate entity. My one corporation theory assumes that markets will become so anti-competitive, that consolidation will be the only way to find a way to grow. With fewer and larger companies, there will be ..

Did Mark Zuckerberg make a mistake to open source an LLM with 405 billion parameters? Support me: https://www.patreon.com/thehatedone

There is a new open source AI out there. It was published by Meta and it’s one of the most powerful models ever developed. And now a lot of people want to stop it. They say Meta is too dangerous and irresponsible. And what if they are right this time? Why would Mark Zuckerberg do this? Who should you believe and what if open source AI is a mistake?

Let me shine a light on all of these things that I’ve been following extremely closely as I believe what will transpire over the next months and years will profoundly affect all of our digital lives.

On July 23, Meta published a new stack of AI models as Llama 3.1 packaged into three different sizes. There are two models small enough to run on consumer hardware with just 8 and 70 billion parameters. But we’ve had those for a while. What really changes everything is Meta’s largest model to date – with whopping 405B paramaters, it’s the biggest and most capable open source LLM ever created.

The 405b model is now capable of rivaling and even outperforming ChatGPT. No open source AI has done this before. But unlike GPT-4, anyone in the world can copy, modify and redistribute Meta’s flagship AI without almost any restrictions.

Apple Intelligence is artificial intelligence, but private. Because Apple is a privacy company, unlike the rest of the big tech, of course. AI is expensive and how is Apple going to pay for this? It’s gonna be you. You will pay for this, by spending more time on their apps and services inside their own platform and Apple will have more real estate to show you ads on. If this is surprising news for you, Apple’s has been shifting its strategy to make more money from ads and services because hardware sales are falling. And this how they will make their shareholders happy.

Apple is changing its strategy and is banking more and more on its ability to exclusively target Apple users across all devices on its platform. And Apple Intelligence has been integrated deeply with the operating system whether you like or not. The more you use it, the more usage data you generate and the more lucrative Apple’s ad network becomes.

I also don’t like the ChatGPT integration. Apple promises your IP address will be obscured and your requests won’t be stored by OpenAI. And we know nothing else about this deal. OpenAI is very explicit that they will collect and use every bit of user data, including the content of prompts and chats. But I want to know what permissions OpenAI is gonna have on users devices.

Understand what Apple Intelligence is about – it’s another tool designed to keep you locked in inside Apple’s platform. It’s not a privacy-preserving option. It’s a convenience tool. The integration across Apple apps and services is gonna be seamless and amazing, as always. But you will become an even greater target of Apple’s emerging advertising strategy.

Back in 2015, we’ve been sold OpenAI as a strife to “democratize AI power”.
That was due to fears that if any corporate entity develops AI privately, they would be too powerful to be trusted with it. So if anyone wants to develop AI, they should release it to the public as open source, so that everyone could benefit equally and without asking for permission and compete with the most powerful model. So that we wouldn’t have one corporate despot to rule them all. The balance of power and all.

GPT is now of the least transparent and accessible projects in the Internet Age. OpenAI’s GPT is proprietary. We can’t tinker with it, we can’t change it, we can’t own it. We can’t use it without OpenAI’s explicit permission. Google removed their “don’t be evil” slogan once it stopped vibing with their quarterly earnings. OpenAI didn’t even start with that. How can we trust OpenAI will not enshittify GPT for a good’ol shareholder value?
