- About my conflict with Mr. B
- At the time when I was actively speedrunning, Mr. B was Co-streaming overseas Super Mario 64 runners during his streams without permission. During those streams, he made disrespectful remarks about their gameplay. Since I had close connections with many of those international runners, I developed a strong sense of discomfort toward him.
- Regarding RTA in Japan, in which I participated, Mr. B also Co-streamed the event without obtaining permission from me or the commentator. During his Co-streaming, he made dismissive remarks such as skipping over my runner profile saying, “I’m not interested,” and laughing while saying, “An 8-second time save? I don’t care, I don’t care.”He also repeatedly made numerous insulting and mocking remarks.I found this attitude extremely unpleasant.
- Running in RTA in Japan with a 0-star run had been a long-time dream of mine, and the event itself was very special to me. That is why I clearly remember how uncomfortable I felt when my run was treated in such a mocking manner.
- Recently on Kick, I had been hosting Co-streamings of Super Mario 64 while discussing and researching new strategies and more consistent strats.
- My intention was purely to study Mario, but B’s gameplay ended up being shown in those Co-streamings as well. Additionally, I praised his gameplay and said that he is an exceptional player in the 120-star speedrun category.
- Despite the fact that he had repeatedly insulted and mocked me in the past and I had generally praised him during my streams, he suddenly came at me, demanding that I stop the Co-streamings. I became furious that he sent such a message without reflecting on his own actions, and I responded in a provocative tone. He then responded with the following: “I’ve never had any interest in you,” “You seem like a problematic person, so I don’t want to be involved,” and “You’re being abusive.”
- I was extremely angered by what I saw as his hypocrisy, and I ended up exposing our DMs.
- As a result, I received a large amount of harassment from his viewers on X, and I am no longer able to continue my Super Mario 64 related activities.
- Additionally, on his stream, he shaped the narrative in a way that portrayed me as entirely at fault, while concealing his own past behavior of mocking and insulting others. As a result, his actions went unnoticed, and I alone came to be seen as the unreasonable one. Therefore, I wrote this statement to clarify the truth.
- However, my responses on Discord were unacceptable, and by making them public, I caused considerable harm to the Japanese SM64 and speedrunning communities. I take full responsibility for this and have made the decision to retire.
- I sincerely appreciate everyone who has watched and supported my speedrunning over the years.
- I wish you all the very best in your future endeavors.
- Thank you.
