My name is Florence Rhoades (AKA Florence the Diva) and I’m the HBIC behind your fav online pixel diva. I created my online pixel persona back in October of 2024 and have been so surprised with the outreach it has achieved along with the love and appreciation! I’ve been working on a secret mobile app game since January of 2025 & I’m so excited to finally announce the creation of ‘Florence the Diva: Cyber Slay’. The only problem is, I definitely cannot create and release this game without funding. There’s no big corporation with hundreds of employees that powers Florence the Diva, just little ole me, a 26 year old trans woman from Louisville, Kentucky with a passion for videogames and maximum slayage. This kickstarter goal enables me and my trusty game developer I’ve sought out to put this game in to full production with a potential Early Access for backers by Winter 2026.
Florence the Diva is a pixel t-girl who loves drama, sugar ddys, and Y2K fashion! Her iconic, nostalgic presence and nasty attitude has you constantly questioning whether you love her, or absolutely hate her; regardless, you’d better strap in for whatever crazy adventure this diva takes you on, whether it’s helping her dress up for a date with a King, or gambling your mom’s life savings away at the casino. This diva doesn’t care if you like her or not, you’re locked-in frenemies until the very end!
Florence the Diva: Cyber Slay is a dress up game for the GIRLZ! This game will release 20 levels at a time, known as ‘seasons’, which will all have a different scenario/event that you’ll need to dress your diva up for.
Design your diva, your way! In the makeover section, you’ll be able to customize your diva to your liking, including their body size, hair style and color, their skin tone, and eye color. You’ll be able to change this at any time in the game, don’t worry!
When dressing up your diva in each level, you’ll be able to layer on various tops, bottoms, dresses, shoes, jackets, accessories, and bags to create the perfect outfit. Each level will have a requirement of a specific aesthetic/style you’ll need to dress up in in order to achieve up to 3 stars and earn maximum rewards.
Through competing levels and depending on how many stars you’ve earned, you’ll receive a ton of rewards, such as various clothing items and bag fulls of Starletz & Hoker Chipz, which you can use to buy more clothing items and diva body modifications in the shop that you’ve unlocked!
While in the shop, you’ll be able to try on and purchase any clothing item that you’ve unlocked with your Starletz and Hoker Chipz. Starletz will be the main way of purchasing your various clothing items, while Hoker Chipz will be reserved for more special items, such as hair styles and dyes, crazy eye colors, and many more diva body modifications.
Spent all your Starletz faster than you can say ‘Diva Down’??? No worries, babe! Hit up the casino and use your rigging experience to passively receive Starletz at one of the casino machines you’ve hacked in to! Feeling a little lucky? Try your luck at the slots machine and choose to gamble away either 10, 20, or 50 Starletz at a time. You might just hit a jackpot!
Completed all the levels this season? Take some time to play one of our mystery mini gamez, you’ll never know what you’ll get yourself in to…
To thank all the divas for their support of this project, I’d love to give some rewards for backers to enjoy! Below you’ll find an overview of what’s contained within each tier:
My goal is to deliver the most diva-esque dress up game experience for our Y2K fashion-raving, drama-loving fans! This funding goal is to help fund the music licensing, voice acting for all levels, development of all clothing, background & other UI assets, animating these assets, implementing a layering and structure system, developing the interactivity aspect in Unity, along with platform deployment.
The milestones for what needs funding is listed below and will be updated when we've reached each goal!
Developing a mobile dress-up game with just one graphic designer and one game developer comes with some clear challenges. There’s a lot of work for only two people. I, as the designer, have to create all the clothes, characters, and backgrounds, while my developer handles coding, bugs, performance, and app store setup. This can lead to slower progress, stress, and possible burnout. To manage this, we will keep the game simple at first, including everything you’ve seen, and focus on this strong basic version before adding more complex features. We can reuse and recolor clothing templates to save time and use software engines like Unity to speed up development. This funding goal would also allow us to hire freelancers for sound/music design, marketing, etc. Releasing these updates gradually (20 levels at a time) gives my developer and I a concrete realistic goal for each update, which we are hoping to drop every 6 months post release, instead of trying to do everything at once. Our main goal is ensuring that my developer and I deliver a game which lives up to the expectations of our fans. We want this to be something special, unique, and super fun. To ensure we do this, our key hope is to build this with fans - fan-backed, funded and guided, with regular feedback and involvement to ensure this becomes everything you divas want and more.
Learn About Accountability On KickstarterWe will aim to ensure compatibility with as many versions of Android and iOS that we can on mobile. We hope to expand to other platforms in the future.
