You have to verify again with SMS every single time you log in to Parler?! No option to just stay logged in? I hate that! My yahoo mail does that once in a while: will log me out and make me go through all that nonsense, getting a 'code' sent to my phone. Problem is, where I live, my phone signal doesn't work nearly as consistently as my internet and I can't get the damn text message at least half the time. People living out in the country, having the same problem with phone signal, especially in the mountains, no matter which carrier they pick, are not going to be able to use Parler, even if they didn't mind giving a phone number!

Here in NM, landlines got so ridiculously expensive that private individuals mostly dropped them to go with mobile - and if you're in a rural area, (in NM, rural means about 5 miles out of any town) every call you make is a 'toll call.' NM MAGA Republicans, who appear to be extolling the virtues of Parler in significant numbers, need perhaps, to be reminded of where they live. This is still a ranch state with few large population areas: Parler can't work here nor I daresay in AZ either. How like a city Jew to fail completely to take 'flyover country' into consideration!

We can shut off goggle's 'location' if we want but not the phone's GPS, so far as I know, without pulling the SIM card at least. Who we are and where we are is apparently of special interest to Parler.
