March 8th, 2026: The Lord’s day today. I woke up and had 2 softboiled eggs, toast, a banana, and some coffee with it. I played some Final Fantasy IV for the DS until 9:30am when I got dressed for church except for a tie. I walked over to Goodwill and bought this blue and orange striped tie. In line this Black guy ahead of me asked if I knew what I was doing. I said yes and did an example of how to tie a tie and he said I was good. I wrapped up the tie and bought it for $2.99 and walked over to the Catholic center at 10:01am and then got in. I saw this one woman I recognized previously who would constantly troll me, Olivia. I tied my tie and asked Olivia why she started coming, she said she was religious but wanted to put it to practice. There weren’t many people here as they were on retreat but Henry was playing the Piano while Ava and Nephri were here. A Dominican priest was presiding today. I did the first reading from Exodus 17:3-7:
☛3 But the people thirsted there for water, and the people murmured against Moses, and said, “Why did you bring us up out of Egypt, to kill us and our children and our cattle with thirst?”
☛4 So Moses cried to the LORD, “What shall I do with this people? They are almost ready to stone me.”
☛5 And the LORD said to Moses, “Pass on before the people, taking with you some of the elders of Israel; and take in your hand the rod with which you struck the Nile, and go.
☛6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock at Horeb; and you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, that the people may drink.” And Moses did so, in the sight of the elders of Israel.
☛7 And he called the name of the place Massah and Meribah, because of the faultfinding of the children of Israel, and because they put the LORD to the proof by saying, “Is the LORD among us or not?”
And as I went down, Henry motioned for me to go back up as it turns out we weren’t doing the sung psalm today but rather the spoken version of Psalms 95:1-2, 6-9 where I would raise my had to signal to repeat after me.
☛1 O come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!
☛2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
☛6 O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!
☛7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. O that today you would hearken to his voice!
☛8 Harden not your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness,
☛9 when your fathers tested me, and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work.
And I stayed up again for Romans 5:1-2, 5-8:
☛1 Therefore, since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
☛2 Through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God.
☛5 and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
☛6 While we were yet helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
☛7 Why, one will hardly die for a righteous man—though perhaps for a good man one will dare even to die.
☛8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us.
The homily given by the young Dominican priest was a bit disorganized but he looked quite well combed. There was no brunch when we left. I said bye to Sophia. I walked home and made nothing for lunch. I gamed a lot more and spontaneously decided to beg Claude.ai to adapt Betrayal at House on the Hill to RPG maker. I matched with this woman from Iowa City, Iowa on WooPlus and we connected a lot. I told her that I didn’t have lunch and she told me to eat. My roommate James came back with his friend, I got introduced to him before he ended up leaving. I ended up making ramen with an egg at 6:00pm which the Iowa girl was proud of. I talked with the Dio Brando cosplayer over Snapchat some more. I played a ton of Holdfast once more. I transcribed from July 1st to July 15th, 2025. I took a shower and went to sleep.
