Sometimes I even ask myself how I managed to become a TV author, even though I only have a middle school diploma (or eighth-grade education).

My parents asked themselves the same question when I told them. “How did you do it?” The second question was, “So what do you do?”

The job of a TV author has several facets and involves different roles depending on how a channel or program is organized. However, there are essential requirements and skills that all authors on every television channel worldwide must possess.
