convinced no one at nintendo actually watched this movie
The reality of this movie is so dangerous. At one point, three little kids get robbed by adults and left alone by the side of the road in the desert over $17.
This is objectively a pretty bad movie. 🤷
Nostalgia can be a bitch, but just have to face facts sometimes.
I haven't seen this since I was a kid, and saw that my library had a brand new blu ray of it to borrow. So I said why not.
Even as a kid, I don't quite remember loving it. The Nintendo stuff was cool, and it had Fred Savage, but I didn't really care too much about it. But I don't remember it being quite this bad.
But it is.
It really is just a super long Nintendo commercial, which is pretty wild. 🤣

Oh the nostalgia. For some reason this never crossed my path when I was a kid… but now did it serve as a Time Machine in 2026. The memories of the best times of my childhood flooded back. Is it a good movie? Probably not. But anything that can evoke feelings like that is worth my time.
