I still get DMs and comments accusing me of using a chatbot in my writing which is HILARIOUS.
I have never used any LLM or chatbot or AI assistant EVER to write or research ANY of my work.
I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a SERIOUS journalist who does.
Sorry, we like em dashes.

There has been ONE "AI" tool I have used for years, and it's Otter, the transcription service.

I'm livid about the oxford comma being associated with LLM writing now.

What's hilarious is that if you actually were using AI for your writing, they'd probably call you based for it.
Also, yeah em dashes being associated with chatbots as a tell is such bullshit. It was right when I started using them too lmao

I've *always* used em dashes and feel called the fuck out every time, lol. Ridiculous.

Never took the plunge but did absolutely check the availability of EM DASH as a vanity license plate

It's insane to me that people don't realize that these LLMs were trained on real people's writing.........

I can't imagine why a machine trained on the work of tens of thousands of writers might use grammatic structures or punctuation that many writers use. Truly, a mystery for the ages.
