That’s what you get when you have an entire sect of the “fan"base is focused around an In Name Only adaptation that was created by people who utterly despised the source material and infused that hatred against the source material into every panel of what they were creating.

Considering so much of SatAM and Archie is focused entirely around hating the video games, it’s not inaccurate to say that the fans of SatAM/Archie are really more fans of hating the video games than could be described as being fans of enjoying the comics. Hating the video games IS what they are fans of. Because the cartoon/comic they’re so devoted to is entirely based around hating the video games, that too is what their fanaticism is based around.

And we all know Ian Flynn never played the video games. He read Archie. He loved Archie. Archie is what he was a fan of. And Archie was entirely and singularly devoted to hating the Sonic video games. Is it any wonder that the comics he helps create now are also entirely centrally devoted to hating the video games? To him, that’s what he thinks Sonic IS. Because that’s what Archie was, and Archie is what he was a fan of.

They seriously act like Ian Flynn running his mouth on his fuckass podcast or Twitter is MORE CANON than the text within the video games CREATED by SONIC TEAM.

Nobody can ever fucking convince me that Ian Flynn’s fans don’t just fucking hate Sonic. They prove that fact with every word they ever speak about this franchise. This is not something you can be a moderate about anymore. If you have anything positive to say about Ian Flynn at all whatsoever, you hate Sonic. End of discussion.
