shogun 2 is far from wasted potential
they somehow managed to make a game where every faction is basically the same into gold using the napoopan engine
then they fucked it up and every game since has been ass

i've long hold the belief that jeff van dyck is somehow the magic which makes total war work

Imagine not using the All 86 Clans mod and the Sinkable Ships mod.

Shogun 2 is literally the only playable Total War game, between the clunky, unresponsive Gameboy games prior and the post-Rome 2 slop.
