China's global trade is rapidly accelerating:
China's exports in US Dollar terms jumped +21.8% YoY between January and February 2026, the highest in at least 3 years.
This marks a sharp increase from the +6.6% recorded in December.
At the same time, imports rose +19.8% YoY, up from +5.7% in December.
As a result, the country's trade surplus rose +26% YoY in the first two months of 2026, to $213.6 billion.
The surge in exports was led by semiconductors, which soared +66.5% YoY, the fastest growth in over a decade.
Exports to ASEAN jumped +29.4%, while shipments to Europe and South Korea rose +27.8% and +27%, respectively.
